  1. I've done it once, but don't think I'd have the time and creativity to come up with something nice again, so I'm afraid I'll decline
  2. Yeah, I've taken a look at Wikipedia editing once, for fun, but dear lord is it a collection of comma-fuckers, people yelling "no there needs to be a space there!!" and all kinds of ridiculous fighting about....often just nothing So I quickly noped out of that one The fact that this is apparently a known thing makes me curious though: do you have some examples of pages where this sportsfandude reverted edits and such and what exactly was 'wrong'? I've read this thread, but for people not editing on Wikipedia it's rather unclear what exactly is the issue
  3. Oh wow, this sportsfan1234 thingy has been going on for months already here apparently? Time for popcorn and reading I guess
  4. Isn't that rightfully so though? Why only look at the number of goals, meaning a legendary defender can never be seen as one of the greatest players? Anyhow, Neymar kind of did it to himself, by mostly going for an incredibly negative 'vibe' around him (with his theatrics and his overall.....act) instead of focusing on his talents
  5. Yeah, that is disgusting stuff. Referee must have a nice house somewhere now
  6. Please don't call him a scientist He is someone who says things like "random planet A and random star B are in random angle X, so earthquakes might happen". Well, yeah, he is always going to be right if he predicts earthquakes to happen...because earthquakes will happen. I can also predict that there will be another earthquake in the next 12 months somewhere. He says 500 things, and when 1 actually happens, he pretends that he predicted it, and lots of people fall for it. Luckily most don't.
  7. Earthquake hit Morocco last night, already nearly a thousand deaths have been reported and that is absolutely going to rise 6.8 on the Richter scale as of now, which is insane when considering the most significant earthquake to ever hit Morocco was the 1960 Agadir earthquake at 'only' 5.8, which caused 15.000+ deaths..
  8. Yeah, this is F1's Schumacher-Ferrari era (or Mercedes-Hamilton, another one where the car was so dominant a second-tier rider could regularly win) all over again Doesn't help that some of the main challengers don't seem to be on point.
  9. Yep, and one might wonder the same about Almeida. I mean, he's not exactly Evenepoel's level, but definitely not someone who is generally dropped when the group still has 30+ riders in it..
  10. This was the last profile/map, I think? Alright, here we go then, from some minutes ago: Almeida was busy being dropped, TV directors were busy focusing completely on that....and then entirely missed even bigger news, defending Vuelta winner Evenepoel being dropped from the main group, 3km before the top of the Aubisque (which is not even remotely close to being the last bit of climbing). Lost nearly one and a half minute already, he's down and out.
  11. I'm getting lost, is this the discussion thread? For what it's worth: we're in stage 13 by now @frantic13poland, 11 and 10 were some days ago
  12. But doesn't that sound perfectly like an event they could host outside of the Olympics, with fun and slightly competitive games in a fan village and such? You know, like if the Olympics were in the Netherlands we might have some fun in a fan village with stuff like koekhappen https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koekhappen
  13. Quick question: can previous sessions (i.e. the previous days and specifically the A-B semis) be rewatched somewhere?
  14. Well thanks, my interest in watching it had slowly made it's way from 0% to almost 1% and rising, but this description has made it drop down again
  15. Isn't Olympic flag football a similar thing as men's football in terms of how weird it is to have it at the Olympics? Men's football is a junior tournament, which obviously shouldn't be the case at the Olympics, whereas flag football seems like the amateur rip-off of the real 'American football'? Oh well, as long as it doesn't cost other sports too much, it would be kind of fun to see two sports that are super obscure in most of the world but insanely popular in a very specific part of the world, it will add a nice bit of contrast
  16. Thanks! Yeah there's no way they will actually pick all of them of course, but it's always good to know what we should expect in terms of numbers.
  17. By the way, there are nine sports on the list going for inclusion...is there a minimum or maximum number of sports to be selected? Like, do they have to select something, or can they choose to go with none of these sports? Or in the other side, can they choose to go for all nine, theoretically? Or is it a matter of choosing specifically X sports?
  18. I have no idea what is and isn't Nestle, but apparently KitKat is, so...sorry
  19. Of course nobody really knows other than Jumbo, but it's not like people don't have their suspicions I mean, we've seen the same level of often just insane team-wide performance from Gewiss, Festina, US Postal, Saunier-Duval, Sky, etc, all of whom have either been rolled up entirely or managed to sweep it under the rug and make people ignore it. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, and I didn't count the ones where I believe there were no actual cases in the end, but where teams are full of highly dubious figures (UAE the past years, Astana before their decline, Vacansoleil which was ridiculously good for one or two years, and so on). It's impossible to know things for sure though, but if we can only have at least some small suspicions when we are absolutely sure....
  20. Ah, those people who go to the gym to stand in front of a mirror and look at their muscles
