  1. Someone around the Chinese team definitely farted
  2. Damn, how did Nemour save that on BB
  3. Beautiful for Neymour 'Home' crowd works well for her
  4. Yeah, the usual suspect websites here are suddenly interested in the Olympics as well, because there's drama to be made and 'omg, woke!! woke!!' to be yelled
  5. Sulamanidze throwing away his gold with a super dumb (and rightful) penalty
  6. Ahman/Hellvig on the verge of a second loss.
  7. Lanir might be the most impressive female judoka so far these Olympics, the way she has been throwing them left and right, hot damn.
  8. Amy Broadhurst, a true Olympian. Well spoken.
  9. Only with enough money, since that was their entire basis for everything even more than anything else. There's a reason they can't organise it anymore.
  10. That is Imane Khelif, correct. In the background is the Italian boxer.
  11. And that's bronze for the not at all controversy-free Paltchik. Edit: last minute penalty and Eich gets the bronze Another edit: Paltchik.... gets his way to bronze after his penalty was waved off
  12. To be fair, it is deserved, there was just really nothing at all going on...
  13. Lytvynenko vs Ma so far is probably the biggest show of antijudo in all of these 'finals' sessions
  14. I feel quite confident about that, but slightly less confident about this:
  15. By the way, is there any movement going on to try and make judo more attractive again? In so many sports everything has to be shiny and flashy, but in judo the explosive throwing and action of 10+ years ago has made way for today's....well, waiting and fighting each other's hands for the right grip. It has turned from something cool in such a mega low action viewing sport.
  16. And that's another one down, 0 out of 7 so far these Olympics for
  17. Sure, but even last year Lin was still being beaten for example. Throughout the years, which in Lin's case is 7+ years already, they have definitely not been invincible. The best boxers in their weight classes managed to beat them.
  18. So basically what she is saying is that Amy Broadhurst and Kellie Harrington are absolutely insanely good, beyond words.
  19. But I'd very much say she is English. Now, I know English-language commentators on things like HBO/Eurosport are often those generic commentators that do like 6 sports and only say things like "now he reallyyy needs to push hard!", but at least read the page of athletes you're commentating on
  20. HBO's commentator in English was rather annoying. She was talking about "Carini is angry with something", and then going on to basically talk about that we'll hear later what was going on, but come on. Whatever your opinion is, it's at least clear what she was angry about Even IOC isn't hiding it, they put information on that on Khelif's profile page, they're not avoiding it or anything.
  21. Give us kickboxing And not the ultra lame version we had at.....World Games? European Games? Not sure, but 2-3 years ago I think. That was nothing, give us the pro's
  22. Has there been any event so far in which they were even among the favourites? I thought that'd basically only be the eights later on
