  1. Unless he went 'full retard' in 'preparation'
  2. As always I forgot to look at the small medals and standings, sorry Probably because I'm never focussed on it when I'm watching weightlifting. Like, I wouldn't call someone world champion if they win snatch or CJ gold but end up 5th or something in the total
  3. Honestly I would have gone for 213 in that third attempt either way, but 212 in the second one. If there was only one attempt left I'd have gone for 213 too.
  4. I am kinda hoping for Albegov to troll everyone, go full retard in preparation and put up some huge PB's beating Talakadze.
  5. Actually he finished 6th last year Does it say anything about the weight he lifted this year? Because there's no international result available for him anywhere after last year's world champs, and the last one before that is the Olympics, so two competitions in two years is a bit hard to go on. His PB of 440kg, set at last year's world champs, was beaten this year by Lasha Talakhadze (457kg, 477kg last year and very clear favourite now), Behdad Salimi (461kg, but he retired), Saeid Hosseini (456kg, not competing) and Rustan Djangabaev (455kg). @MHSN is definitely the expert here, but my humble opinion is Reis might fight for bronze with mostly Gor Minasyan if the Armenian doesn't do what Armenians do and bomb out with a too high starting weight. Possibly silver, who knows.
  6. How the fuck do they expect millions of people to be informed enough to make a good and fair decision about important stuff like who would be the best to fill a specific position like a state judge? Does 90% of California exist of experienced law professionals?
  7. Just now I see how close Ahmed was to not making the weight
  8. Yeah if I recall correctly there was only one other person with a good taste (meaning 12 points for Eliane obviously), the rest were just emotional ladies and/or bribed cheaters
  9. It is utterly unbelievable that a country that has an absolute gem like 'Dear Home' on it's list of entries has another song as must succesful ever
  10. @kungshamra71 Since you live in the Netherlands: what's your opinion about kruidnoten? (in most places wrongly called pepernoten)
  11. End of discussion, best argument ever.
  12. Oskars Melbardis is out for the entire season, once again he's injured http://www.ibsf.org/en/news/8-bobsleigh/20845-olympic-bronze-medallist-oskars-melbardis-to-miss-the-2018-2019-season?
  13. And our friend basically wants kindergarteners to be able to vote...no thanks
  14. Yes, I'm sure you're one of the rare exceptions
  15. Wait, what? Those sites all have a check saying "Are you 18 years or older? Yes/no" (I think, never been there obviously), so if they choose 'No', they won't see anything.
  16. No idea, but I do know it's not gonna work if people need to have a say in absolutely everything. They change their mind even faster than politicians based on small things.
  17. But they do not know what on earth it's all about, generally speaking. I mean, how is the average 14 (!) year old kid going to know all the financial, economical and social implications of all kinds of measures and laws and whatnot? Voting is not just saying "Yes, I also want people to be healthy, I vote for that!".
  18. Absolutely, especially if it keeps developing like this in terms of broadcasts and 'watchability' (with the LED lights and everything)
  19. Although I can understand @Olympian1010 wanting voting age to be 14, he wants to be able to vote too before the Beijing Winter Olympics
  20. Much like other things to drink: certain things taste good, others don't. Those that taste good are good to drink
  21. If citizens need to have a say in everything, no real governing is ever going to get done.
  22. I know there are those super political kids, but let's stay real, most of them could not give a damn about all those political debates and economical measures and whatnot (as long as they can play their Xbox or something) and it's just not responsible to let kids vote on things that are that important for everyone.
