  1. right now, we have yesterday's results on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_World_Weightlifting_Championships_–_Women's_45_kg hopefully, from today/tomorrow the IWF website will be updated more carefully
  2. very, very good race by Ragaini, improving himself of almost 2 secs from the recent Junior Europeans even Bertoni looks back in the same shape of last year (almost) now we just have to get Galossi back and we have 3 very good freestylers born in 2006 that could ensure our future in a good range of races (200m to 1500m) bit disappointed with the men's 4*100m free relay...they were close to bronze and all the guys could have been a bit faster, looking at their PBs surprised to see a guy like Flyn Southam in the Aussie relay, since he's already attending the senior worlds ealier this Summer
  3. International GamePass is no longer available as a standalone app, now people have to subscribe through DAZN which means no more Brazilian price for me and, above all, it means that I won't be able to watch a single game anymore, because DAZN has to close down and will never have a cent from me...bunch of idiots! one sport less in my schedule (after ESPN Player closed down and took away the NCAA)
  4. sorry, Today I'm really frustrated for personal reasons and I'm getting really aggressive against anything I don't like...it's just like "me vs the world" I know I shouldn't put my troubles on other people, but I have to throw them off somehow before it gets serious better going to sleep...maybe tomorrow is a better day (still, I won't start liking those things in any case but maybe I'm gonna keep it for myself)
  5. p.s. Flag Football is also just a kid's game please, God! save us from this!
  6. Breaking is NOT a sport...there are no set competition rules, the winners are not clear to the audience and those who are proclamed as winners are never the true best in the game in that given day same for artistic swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, dressage, surf and skateboard LET'S GET RID OF THOSE ARTISTIC ENTERTAINING ACTIVITIES THAT HAVE NEVER TO DO WITH SPORT! ALTIUS, CITIUS, FORTIUS...if the final result is not measurable according to at least one of those 3 principles, it's not an a sport and it shouldn't be in the Olympic program
  7. good news for : - the women's Double Sculls (despite being both lightweights, our girls proved themselves more than competitive also among the senior crews...a truly amazing quota place is not out of reach now -they're in the semis, they only need not to end last in the B Final and Paris will not be only a dream anymore) -the men's Quadruple Sculls look in top form...they might even win it all the bad news: -almost everything not mentioned above, especially the women's Quadruple Sculls the awful news: Rodini & Cesarini...our women's Lightweight Double Sculls Olympic Champions most likely won't even qualify to the Paris Games...today they were just painful to watch
  8. even less... with the T20 format, it's 15 players each team (the 2/3 stand-by players could be "outside village" guys, like the fencing teams' reserves, and become official players only if and when they replace someone else), so 90 per gender for a 6-team tournament (which would be a farce, I hope they have at least 8 -2 groups of 4 + semis and medal matches, just to give the tournament a fair development) so, officially it could be 180 or 240 total players (depending if it's a 6 or 8-team tournament, both genders included)
  9. earlier Today, Zane Weir won the men's Shot Put in Padua with 22m44cm (he also had 22m22cm and 22m05cm throws) Joe Kovacs was second with 22m40cm (he also had a 22m39cm throw) World Silver medallst Leonardo Fabbri was 3rd with 21m49cm women's 100m World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson was also announced at the start of this meet, but finally she didn't show up Tomorrow night a really nice meet in Bellinzona will be on stage with a few interesting competitions star of the night is men's High Jump champion of everything Gianmarco Tamberi
  10. unfortunately, none! if he doesn't resign by himself (which is impossible, I fear), nobody will fire him before Paris 2024 only a full team boycott (he against all of us) could change the situation, but it won't happen

  14. no way, both in terms of people's recognition and also of results (in Baseball, are an established "big team", world champions in the last tournament without the MLB/NPB Pros, twice in the top 4 of the WBC, with almost all the best MLB/NPB Pros) even the infrastructures...Baseball's are way more present and developed in the Country
  15. windsurfing is OK, it's Kite that has nothing to do with sailing (and it's also a poor double of windsurfing in terms of format and action)

  19. in Europe, would surely choose Baseball because it's...I don't say popular, but at least it's well known, as it's regularly shown on TV (and they are somehow competitive on the field) and are the only 2 Countries that would choose without any doubt Cricket all the others, most likely would get rid of both, as they're unknown and with no people playing, resulting in any case a senseless investment, wasted money
  20. surely you know the area better than me...and if you say that the LA Metro Area has all those troubles, then I'm rather for the Lake Tahoe (or any other suitable place) option surely, I'm against the 1500m races in 2028
  21. I know, but then you have to find plans B, C, D and so on to keep up with all the principles, also the sports ones (and not only the economical and environmental agenda) I still think that everything can be done without coming to those white elefants, it's just a question of etics and honesty by all the people involved, organizers, administrators, politicians all around

  25. which makes it absolutely not suitable for any rowing Olympic/World Regatta I'm sorry, but you just can't completely change one of the oldest and most traditional sports of the Olympic program because you can't find a proper venue. since we're not talking of a small town/low budget Olympics, if they just don't want to go on with Lakle Perris because of the possible drought issues, they have enough time to study a good plan to remove the current bridge that shortened the original basin in Long Beach and rebuild it half a mile further (or in the same place just after the Games, asking locals to support the Games and be kind for a couple of years of heavy traffic problems) the sport of Rowing deserves a 2000m regatta course, no matters how
