  1. not yet, the (online) draw is Today at 2 p.m. CET
  2. sessions are only 2 each day: prelims and finals... finals are always at 5 p.m., prelims start time will be announced tomorrow after the official registration (and the covid tests), once the number of competitors (and bouts) will be known...
  3. if all the 10 girls skating in the last heat go ahead of those who have already completed theirs, we would have: BEL 19th USA (Pinson) 20th CHN 22nd FRA 23rd COL 24th ITA 25th CAN 27th AUT 29th CZE 30th ESP 31st
  4. Gold and Bronze for France! Silver for Russia congrats to them!
  5. only 4th place for us, but the most important target (the Olympic Quota) has been reached...
  6. now it would be nice if Chelli could also win the bronze medal (gold and silver are already gone, I fear)...
  7. yes!!! quota for Italy!
  8. gone... vs for the olympic quota...and it looks promising for us...
  9. yeah, the juniors are already out of consideration... and that's a shame to me... now I hope that Chelli wins one more quota later today, so to have more margin for manouvre, but I think the federation's policy is to bring the guys that earned the quota to the Games (with the exception of Cassandro for Filippelli in the men's skeet that was decided a long time ago)...
  10. all of our girls are not born and raised in Italy (still, they have strong Italian heritage)... Bevilacqua is basically Australian, Gussoni and Legati have ties with Costa Rica, Argentina and Spain (I don't remember exactly who comes from where and the other family ties)... even Fioravanti, despite being Italian at 100% greew up in France and now he's based mainly at the Hawai'i...
  11. Novax Djocovid...ops, I mean Novak Djokovic (but he's already trying to find loughable excuses, rather than admitting his reluctance to get vaccinated)... however, it's not official yet, but bets are all against him flying to Tokyo right now... in any case, it's obvious that there won't be any rule set by the IOC forcing the athletes to get vaccinated to participate at the OGs, they just ask the athletes to do it, but it's not mandatory...it's up to the single NOCs and Countries to take this kind of decisions...
  12. no, after all these posts, I've just gone on Youtube and watched the last pair of shots...the Italians won by 2 points, 41-39... probably the sius website just inverted the names beside Gold and Silver medals in the first release...then, they made the obvious correction and now it's perfect...
  13. I haven't watched the final, so I only read the result on the sius website...and when I saw it (just after 7 p.m.), they had 41-39 for GBR... now, when you replied, I watched again and they have changed it in 41-39 for the Italians... well, if they won Gold, that's even worse... maybe it's time to think about a different set of shooters to be selected for the Games (I mean, a swap Grazini in, Cassandro out -or, even if it would be extremely unfair and painful, De Nicolo out and Grazini in- must be taken into consideration, especially looking at Stanco's poor shape)... there are too many medals at stake to keep it like it would have been good 12 months ago...
  14. in today's Mixed Team Trap event, we just had an anticipation of the Italian shooting psycho-drama... our "olympic duo" De Filippis and Stanco were outclassed by Jessica Rossi and Valerio Grazini (who hasn't got any quota place, therefore he won't be in Tokyo)... Jessica & Valerio qualified in 1st place and then won the silver gold medal, the other 2 guys ended up in a miserable 6th place (miserable for their skills, of course) and couldn't even try and get any medal... that's what happens when a marriage is broken...shards everywhere, at home as on the job...
  15. @hckošice Richard Tury best non-US skater in the world today (and 5th overall)...
  16. quite complicated, I fear...
  17. if I'm not wrong, it also means that Angelo Bonomelli can't grab a quota from 2019 anymore...
  18. and guess who denied her the next round? Lorena FICA! now I'm rooting for her at 100%...I just want to see how the Italian broadcasters (especially those in RAI) would eventually cope with her family name in Tokyo... I'm pretty sure they won't name her nor show her rides even if she wins the gold medal...
  19. 1) too close to call and with too many factors that might influence my choice... however, just to pick my top 3: Fencing first of all...then, the Judo medal matches and finally, most of the Swimming finals... but, as you might imagine, almost every Olympic medal event is on my "must watch" list... 2) 3) too difficult to pick only 3... however, just to play within the rules: Alexander Karelin, Federica Pellegrini, Aldo Montano
  20. not into Equestrian sports enough to make a serious prediction... my picks (just based on recent past results and personal bias)... Dressage: (individually I really have no clue... Charlotte Dujardin and a pair of Germans might well be on the podium, I guess) Jumping: (individually it's even worse than dressage...someone from and then everything is possible, I think) Eventing: (individually, I hope someone from and then some riders from the Countries that medal in the team event, I suppose)
  21. naaa...she has so many meets left in the calendar before the end of the OQP... I'm sure she gets the qualifying time in the next couple of outings (provided she finds good weather)...
  22. game has started now... and Venezuela got the early lead vs Canada...
  23. Venezuela vs Cuba was a great match yesterday...and today's Nicaragua vs Puerto Rico is also very entertaining (even VEN vs COL wasn't bad in the final couple of innings)... it's always fun to watch some baseball outside the usual suspects MLB and NPB...and Latin American teams are never disappointing in that sense...
