    Brazil and Slovakia saying this is their worst Olympics and medals start falling. Guess i should have said it as well, having some luck would be welcomed for us in these final few days.

    Well fought win by Irie, no controversy there. That final round was for her with Petecio gassed out in the final minute.

    While i do agree, that it could potentially turn into a farce sooner or later ( we will see the 200 m today ) , Warholm has been running great and showing he could beat the WR for some years now. Others would be way more eyebrow raising and questionable.

    Kevin Young stood for 28 years, dare i say, this could be the same. I don't know even if Warholm is capable if running like this again. If only there were fans in attendance..

    Ughh, i hate how they slot all team matches one over the other (with only half hour difference).. Now i have to choose which 1/4 from volleyball, basketball, handball, water polo or 1/2 in field hockey i have to watch, because they are on the same time. It's only 4 matches now and they could have slotted them more evenly.

    Tkachuk That was an amazing moment. How she stood alone on the track and the camera focused on her eyes and hope. One of my favourite moments so far at the Games!

    They should postpone the discus final. They can't even rotate....

    I don't remember a time, when women's javelin was exciting. At least not after my aunt stopped competing.

    Don't know about you guys, but for me the women's short hurdles are one of the most bland and boring running disciplines at present time. The 2000-2015/16 period had great figures, big personalities, famous faces that were recognizable and you didn't know who would win. Now you don't have much depth in results and there are no recognizable names.

    Nah, she was very, very good in her hay-day. She has better all time result than Thompson and Fraser-Pryce it's not like she was winning with 23+ But that is in the past and she is not that fast anymore for various reasons.

    Has she mentioned, if she'd consider returning to the heptathlon now that her main event career is over? I mean she'd probably have better results, but will her pride accept it?

    China to win another 3 golds in the next half hour (weightlifting, gymnastics and track cycling) and i'm starting to believe that they can actually win the medal table. US to be 6-7 behind and they are not setting athletics on fire as of now.
