  1. It's not important the population characteristics, but the sporting depth. Asia could have a bigger pool to choose lightweight boxers, but is their 5th nation better than the 5th one from Europe, or the 8th, or the 10th, or the 12th. Indonesia can have 10 million boxers and they still can be worse than Hungary's 10 000 (figuratively speaking), because the don't have the same preparation, training etc.
  2. I think the quotas are placed proportionally, which hasn't happened in a long time. And there a few left for the World qualifier and not the usual 1-3 quotas. We know boxing and it's limitless problems, but the quotas are not one of them this time. As a matter of fact, Europe is slightly screwed in the heavier categories, because there are lesser athletes and Europe has the same number as Asia and one more than Americas.
  3. Well, - the children are happy they won't go to school, - the students are happy they won't go to lectures, - our domestic sport has almost no spectators either way, - the public transport is getting cleaned I mean
  4. After the news broke this morning of the 4 cases, all schools, universities, cinemas, theaters, gyms are being closed. All sports will be without fans and in the two provinces with the cases all sport is cancelled. Public transport will be regularly sanitized. Everything is for the precaution, because people don't seem worried at all for now.
  5. I'm surprised there is even a (men's) category where Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China are not the top 3.
  6. F F F Now i wish Kranska Gora is cancelled too...
  7. Looks like we are on the board. @dcro jumped the gun a day earlier The strange thing is that the potential two cases didn't travel or meet anyone who has traveled and are from cities, where tourists don't go. The crisis team are baffled how they got it.
  8. Last ones standing from Europe - Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, Moldova, Malta, Cyprus and Turkey.
  9. Cortina finals are canceled from what i'm reading. The organizers proposed starts with no spectators, but all the teams rejected the idea. BS decision. No chance for Shiffrin to make a comeback now. Can't decide if this will help Kilde or Pinturault now. If only Kilde hadn't blown the SG last week
  10. I was not aware the french youth is that into beach handball.
  11. Having a global virus canceling The Olympics doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
  12. I also suggest a man and a woman can only walk side by side. If there is an uneven number of representatives of both sex's, the odd one should be deported to their home country immediately!
  13. But the Olympics trumps everything. 95% of the sports would prefer the exposure of the Games, instead of their annual wrestling, judo, fencing etc. WC for which the general public could care less. Going 8 years without Olympics would be a huge blow for the smaller sports for me.
  14. Why can't they have it in spring/summer 2021, if things continue to be so bad? Surely they can't be thinking of canceling the Olympics, because there are some Worlds or other events in 2021..
  15. Does it bother you if it's called Holland
  16. Our PM Borisov is going personally to Erdogan tonight to cool down the new migrant escalation. If things go well, Greece should once again be thankful for covering their buts, because our border is quiet.
  17. Why pull out before the Super. At least see the results and then do it. You never know, you could be surprised.
  18. We are still not on the board, are we doing something wrong (or wright)
  19. Badminton seems like the sport, which most easily cancels events, and it's not even a contact sport.
  20. To have one World Championship in 2020 and another one in 2021 like it was intended to be.
