Actually it is quite the opposite, I am worried that some sports will extinguish, we only have representatives in 6 sports in Beijing, which is the least after Lillehammer 1994, and even here Nordic Combined almost does not exist, and in other sports we depend almost exclusively on individuals, who are training outside of national program. Ski jumping is the only bright example, other than that we could well end up without a medal or with 1 or 2 in Cortina in four years time.

Very good relay for our unxperienced team. Šimenc even 6th in first leg, very surprising. They were not very far from not being lapped.

So happy for Žan Kranjec, after so much troubles and after nobody believed in him. 6 medals and counting...

It is really funny, how all Baltic states are picking up their songs on the same day. They should make joint festival a la San Remo.

First time after Sarajevo 1984 (then as Yugoslavia) Slovenia will compete with relay. Best result came in 1948 (9th). Tomorrow they will have hard time not being lapped. 😄

Great competition, one of the best in history. We are standing really well ahead of Team event. Zajc and Peter Prevc are in team, while Kos and Cene Prevc failed to qualify by just 0.3 and 0.6, they will jump tomorrow with Lanišek for other two spots.

Yes, Lampič will focus on Team sprint, depending on, whether Urevc can get better or not. So with Urevc and Lampič out, we have only 3 athletes. Fun fact, according to FIS, we got 6 places in women CC skiing, so we "forgot" to send one more athlete to represent us, at least in Relay.
