  1. I just realised we are drawing ever closer to the next big event of the year (after the Paralympics of course ).....
  2. Exactly, I feel the same. The thing I like about the forum is that you can interact with people from other nations and learn lots of interesting news you would otherwise miss out on. There's no way I would trawl through separate forums to find all of that and more importantly, you would miss out on the interaction between users from different countries which is something I cherish. Having our own Irish corner here in the form of a national thread is enough.
  3. I hope the community won’t be splintered with all these subforums. I quite like things as they are.
  4. Thank you for the nice words, it was a day I won’t forget Nice to see someone from Peru on the forum! I hope you stay here and follow the Road to Paris with us. We need representation on the forum from new nations and would love to hear about Peru’s adventures in the next cycle
  5. I got my second dose on Wednesday and can safely say by now that I had no immediate after effects .
  6. Here it is, the moment of a lifetime. My God I was emotional when Katie Taylor won gold in 2012 but this is another set of emotions. The whole nation is proud of her. You deserve everything good coming to you Kellie…dreams come true
  7. 2 golds and 2 bronze for Ireland, I am over the moon with that. I hoped for 4-5 medals and one gold so definitely met my wish. And we left a few medals out there too which bodes well too since we definitely didn’t have a perfect Games. Buzzing to follow the Road to Tokyo Paris now
  8. OMG!!! I can't believe it. Kellie Harrington is the Olympic champion!! I am in tears.... yesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Tjon En Fa aiming to follow in the footsteps of swimmer Anthony Nesty (gold 1988, bronze 1992) and become an Olympic medalist for Suriname....
  10. will leave without a medal
  11. into the men's keirin final
  12. Wow, congrats India!! So happy for all the Indian users on here! Enjoy it
  13. Lithuania are going to get onto the medal table
  14. Every single pentathlete has had competitions where horses destroyed their chances and have cost them eliminations. Some riders are better than others but even the best rider is at the mercy of the horse. Schleu had no chance.
  15. I generally only watch modern pentathlon every 4 years and it annoys me every time. A top show jumper could not have done anything with that horse. Farce is right.
  16. They should have skateboarding as one of the 5 sports instead of this, being serious too
  17. That’s awful for Schleu. Nothing she could do at all.
  18. Poor Schleu. God what a horrible sport this is. So unfair on her.
  19. Doesn’t matter how experienced a rider you are, if you get a bad horse like some of those, nothing you can do.
  20. Disaster, poor Natalya. Always the way with our luck
  21. Yes but if they traumatise them at a specific fence it can be an issue. Losing control is one thing but you don’t want to see repeated refusals at one fence and a rider not even giving them a chance of clearing it.
  22. Great, so the Uzbek rider has spooked the horse now for Natalya later. She traumatised that horse at that fence God help Natalya now when she has to bring that horse to that fence.
  23. According to our commentator it wasn’t, it was responsibility of the Dutch to ensure a safe exchange was on.
