  1. Andrius Šidlauskas secured a B qualifying time in 100m Breaststroke during the morning session and will probably attack for the A one as well later this evening.
  2. During the 1st day of the Lithuanian Championships there wasn't much that happened. Danas Rapšys secured a B qualifying time in 400m Freestyle Andrius Šidlauskas was 0.07s away from a B qualifying time in 200m Breaststroke Kacper Majchrzak for Poland secured a B qualifying time in 100m Freestyle Teterevkova, Bilis and Margevičius were fairly close to B qualifying times as well.
  3. Not to mention that the registered list is also filled with countries that did not confirm participation and China with an ineligible song
  4. This is probably only half of the countries that we're missing
  5. I hope that Estonia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Colombia, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, Great Britain and all of the other countries attempt to increase participation
  6. Nice, we even got some attention from swimswam: https://swimswam.com/watch-live-bilis-rapsys-ready-for-1st-tokyo-qualifying-opportunity/?fbclid=IwAR2jel2m0RNz-np9qXrOClQyRBclV1Ui9l9G3dd2Ibx_CsiAwE7Ta4foY00
  7. Tomorrow, the Lithuanian winter championships are starting in a 50m pool. It is the first opportunity for our athletes to go for the Olympic qualifying standard, so even athletes from other countries plan to swim here. I'll definitely update if there are interesting times. Some of our top athletes are planning to start: Rapšys, Šidlauskas, Bilis, Teterevkova.
  8. I don't know why, but I somehow thought there was a bit more time till the entry deadline Imagine my surprise, when I find out it's 3 days.
  9. I think you missed a certain Arnd Peiffer, when finalising the German squad?
  10. Well, I definitely know what I would pick for Canada this year
  11. @rybak used to help spam the entire forum with this competition, but he hasn't even registered himself Still a lot of regular countries missing as well as a lot of countries that I would like to see return.
  12. Semi-decent day. Olivija managed to avoid the major crash in the scratch race, even though her bike got hit and she lost momentum, managed to finish in 6th place, followed by 7th place in the women's team sprint for Krupeckaitė and Marozaitė. Could have been better, could have been worse, atleast our sprint duo did not damage their chances to get two spots at the Olympics.
  13. @intoronto planning to join for Canada?
  14. And Natalija Piliušina is entering the European Championships in 1500m. discipline, so we're up to 9 athletes for Glasgow. Too lazy to check, but I think this might be a record for Lithuania in indoor competitions.
  15. I can't believe that I had to miss my favourite CC skiing event due to work In memory of 2017:
  16. I hope the other Russian girls step up so that she doesn't make it
  17. Oof, forgot to update. So, in the Lithuanian Championships, Diana Zagainova jumped a PB of 13.97 in the triple jump, qualified to the European Indoor Championships and solidified herself as the 2nd best triple jumper in Lithuanian history right after Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė. Interestingly enough, Diana (just like Dovilė when she was her age) will go to the U23 as one of the favourites, so we might have a nice triple jumping tradition starting. Lastly, 18y.o. Akvilė Andriukaitytė ran 60m. in 7.40 at COSMA cup today and qualified to the European Indoor Championships as well. She is the final one to reach the standard as this was the final qualification competition. Heading into the championships, our team now consists of: Simas Bertašius - 1500m. Adrijus Glebauskas - High Jump Akvilė Andriukaitytė - 60m. Agnė Šerkšnienė - 400m. Eglė Balčiūnaitė - 800m. Airinė Palšytė - High Jump Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė - Triple Jump Diana Zagainova - Triple Jump Modesta Morauskaitė and Natalija Piliušina qualified, but not starting. It's going to be a fun event for us to follow as we have three fairly legit medal chances in these championships, I'm excited.
  18. Heard from my friend that Karol Dombrovski was a bit of a star the entire broadcast A fairly solid 6th place for Karol, congratulations to him for winning the Funding Games
  19. Thank you North America Although this might leave us without funding
  20. @dcro hey, it's not like you to keep away from the festivities for such a long time?
  21. The championships seem to be pretty stacked, comparing to recent years
  22. Strolia is quick, but can't shoot if his life depended on it Still, it was refreshing to see our athlete gaining positions and not leaking them based on ski speed.
  23. Lithuania's gonna be treating this like the World Championships. Let the funding games begin!
