I think it's because of the passport, since the names in multievent strictly follows the name stated there. Recently during the Asian Games, some of our athletes got "name changes" to match their passports. I am somewhat annoyed that not all culture can get their name displayed correctly, such as Indonesian/Indian athletes with one word name got them repeated or the super long Iranian surname which is actually just missing a space.
