  1. @dcro So the quota will be decided today? The 3 best scores count out of the 4 teammates?
  2. Literally zero articles about this event in Hungary, nobody cares that we got a chance to qualify for this event for the first time ever, despite the fact that we are hosting the qualifier.
  3. Also, @Sindo, maybe we need a new thread for the "Individual European Championships" as that will now be in Plovdiv? It will be held between June 16 and 18.   4. We are going with almost the full team to the European Zonal Qualifier in Plovdiv. Áron Szilágyi is the only big name Hungarian fencer who won't be there because he has some smaller injury and he doesn't need those WR points to qualify to the Games as the men's sabre team should easily get the team quota.
  5. I think EBU has the broadcasting rights, which means that the Games should be free to air in the EU. I am not entirely sure how EBU will live stream it. I think everything should be live on https://www.eurovisionsports.tv/ , but for now I don't see anything there, so we will see...

  10. @phelps Uh, I need an explanation because Luana Márton became a World Champion at the age of 17 in an Olympic weight class. What. The. Fuck. This came out of nowhere. First ever Hungarian gold in a women's events at the Taekwondo Worlds. And we just had our first ever gold last year thanks to Omar Salim. Crazy stuff happening in Hungarian taekwondo, we didn't even have a single Olympic quota for 20 years and now we are winning gold medals at the WCh.

And maybe also have a poll on the TISC runner-ups? I mean, it's not much, but it would give an opportunity to revisit the winners and the runner-ups for the 10th anniversary.

  22. This isn't official yet, but it seems... Olympic bronze medalist Tamás Kenderesi is suspended. He will appeal, this is far from over. But I think it's safe to say that his career is over. He's now behind Richárd Márton in men's 200m butterfly, which means that he isn't in the HUN Top2 in his main event, and now he definitely won't be able to compete with the younger Hungarian swimmers.
  23. Not to start anything here, but this is one of the reasons why I think Orbán turned out to be right on one thing: migration. I sure as shit don't want Erdogan supporters in my country en masse who might turn radical in the long run. Or any other right-wing/far-right loving minority. We got enough problems as it is, this is at least something we don't have deal with, it will be an issue for Western Europe, but not for us. The Turkish people living in Western Europe are the perfect example on how living in Western Europe won't magically turn you into a liberal, especially if you have a different ethnicity and religion.
  24. Erdogan is clearly winning this now. I am honestly not that sad about it considering how much the opposition spread misinformation about the election results last night. This is not the way to convince anyone that you are more democratic than Erdogan, regardless of how authoritarian he is. Anyway, this should be the final wake up call for the West, same as what happened last year in Hungary despite some promising polling. Leaders like Erdogan and Orbán will NEVER be defeated in an election. They will either be defeated internally or more likely by their own body once they get old. Erdogan and Orbán are here to stay for God knows how many years (Orbán probably for more years as he's only 60 years old).
  25. Apparently KK is leading by a sizable margin, but he won't be able to win in the first round. Still, if this is true, the first round looks much better for the opposition than what most sites are reporting. I don't really know what to believe, this is a clusterfuck of epic proportions.
