Huh, the Hungarian federation said that our target is a midtable finish. I guess they didn't calculate what the other teams are capable of on paper. Plus we are sending the A-team, other nations might have some missing talent.

Well, I hope their powerhouse will be enough for fill our house in Budapest because we will need all the help we can get to fill the stadium at the World Championships. Hopefully thousands of Polish fans will come. It's kinda ridiculous that Hungary will host the WCh in Central Europe instead of Poland, we care waaaay less about athletics.

It also doesn't help that this stadium is HUGE for a team event. 55.000 seats... Even the World Championships will be held in a much smaller stadium, our new athletics stadium has 35.000 seats.

Yeah, we are reaching some "even my mom would throw better than this" level.

@hckošice Imagine how many spectators would turn up for Div3 and Div2 Ice Hockey if they would be held in the same country where the main World Championships is. "Amazing" idea from European athletics and EOC, now the small countries can compete in a completely empty stadium.

Shooting (the finals) will have a live TV feed. So hopefully it will work just fine. But they are kinda struggling with the TV graphics as well at the athletics event, so...

This event brings back some COVID memories. As if the pandemic never ended.

Athletics has a TV feed, many sports will get the stream feed treatment. M4Sport would be more than willing to broadcast everything live on TV, but they can't because they aren't getting TV live feed for many events, just a stream quality feed.

Yeah, literally nothing is working. The timer, the scores, the picture quality. The Hungarians commentator is constantly guessing what's actually going on.

I mean, why would anyone show up to a Div3 competition on a workday? It's a terrible idea to have all divisions compete in the same country, there's no reason for spectators to show up for Div3 and Div2.

We have pretty much the A-team here, only our best athlete, Bence Halász (hammer throw) is skipping this event. The Hungarian federation is using this team event as the main test for Hungarian athletics before the World Championships in Budapest.

Based on how this Eurobasket is going, only seem like good bets. Depends a lot on how the OQTs will be drawn. Maybe it's possible that only 3 European teams will qualify.

Welp, no televised match for our team tomorrow. I am guessing Court 1 is the one that will have a live feed. Edit: Or maaaaybe both courts will have a live feed. Apparently M4Sport will stream all the Hungarian matches. They will have 5 live feeds on their website, I think they will stream every event live.

And it looks like this is the end for as well. Every Pot 2 team (Italy, Turkey, Greece, Slovenia) is eliminated before the QFs.

is more than capable of beating us based on how they played today. They have a very talented young team, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make it to the OQT.

Well, I do want to believe in that we can make it into the SFs, but we wasted a similarly huge chance against 4 years ago. That being said, our current team seems stronger than the one 4 years ago. I think it's actually important for us in terms of the Olympic qualification to reach the Top4. We are low on the World Ranking, we need all the WR points we can get here to be in Pot 3 of the OQT draw instead of Pot 4. I mean, even with a Top4 placement there's a high chance that we will be in the weakest pot of the OQT draw. We need those WR points. And obviously it would also be a huge deal if they reach the Top4 at the Euros for the first time since 1997.

So the bracket is... v / v / v / v / Seems kinda obvious that will reach the Top6 and qualify to the OQT from the second half of the bracket, but you can never know. will almost certainly qualify from the first half, but the other two spots are up in the air. Two teams out of will be at the OQT.
