  1. Man, if only this event was part of the Olympic qualification. Still, we needed this gold. We can't fail to qualify in men's epee again, this team is too talented to miss Paris.
  2. Yeah, the qualifying window starts on April 2nd if I remember correctly. The first big event should be in Poznan, the first women's foil event that will count for the Olympic ranking, but... I very much doubt that Poland will let that event happen inside their country if Russians are truly allowed to compete. So yeah, you should expect a very messy qualification, who knows what will happen.
  3. The true march madness is happening in men's epee, the semi-finals are... v v The 6th, 11th, 17th and 18th teams on the world ranking are the Top4. Yep, that's epee for ya.
  4. Meanwhile here almost all the tickets are sold for tomorrow. In an arena where we can have around 60.000 spectators. Against Bulgaria of all teams. Insane. The Hungarian national team hasn't been this popular in ages.
  5. I am very pleased with the two individual gold medals, we are doing quite well in the individual events this season. Let's hope that they will use this form to do well in the team events of the World and European championships, which will be extremely important this year. Meanwhile in Budapest... already some big upsets. defeated in the Round of 16. And a smaller upset, won against .
  6. Really important match coming up for us tomorrow. Anything other than 3 points against at home would be an awful start of the qualifiers. Our main opponents for the qualifying spots are and , the latter already made it clear that we can't lose points against Bulgaria.
  7. Hey @rafalgorka, I was in Budapest very recently and had a chance to go near the stadium (other side of the Danube at Kopaszi gát), so I thought I would share it here. I took the picture with the shity camera of my shity phone, so yeah, it is what it is. And also, the best view from Kopaszi gát was at an old boat, I didn't plan this to compare the two. Also, Kopaszi gát was lovely as always. Such a nice place near the stadium. You get a nice view of the new tallest building of Hungary as well, the MOL Campus, the first structure near the size of a skyscraper in Budapest.
  8. I was really conflicted whether or not I should submit the most popular Hungarian artist of the year for TISC and in the end I decided to go with something more underground. Yeah, that didn't go well for me in TISC. The said popular artist, Azahriah, is actually becoming too big to ignore, I am pretty sure that I will submit him for Annual very soon just to see how international his appeal is. I think at this point he is the most successful Hungarian artist born after 2000. The reason why I didn't submit him for Annual this year is because his music isn't really what wins TISC, but he is making hits after hits, so I can't avoid this submission much longer. Two more hits released in the past month...
  9. Somehow my 12 points are stuck between the 4th and the 10th place, with the exception of two songs that were barely in the Top20. At this point I would be happy if one of my 12 points winners finish on the podium. 12 points given by Hungary since I joined Open 2019 - - 10th place Annual 2020 - - 20th place Open 2020 - - 4th place Annual 2021 - - 6th place Open 2021 - - 4th place Annual 2022 - - 7th place Open 2022 - - 17th place Annual 2023 - - 10th place And, um, let's just say that if you are fighting for the win and you don't get any points from me, you are one step towards victory. Open 2019 - - 2 points Annual 2020 - - 0 points Open 2020 - - 0 pints Annual 2021 - - 10 points Open 2021 - - 0 points Annual 2022 - - 0 points Open 2022 - - 0 points Annual 2023 - - 0 points Yeah... 2/8 so far. You can say that the Weeknd is the only TISC winner in the past 4 years that I truly supported.
  10. I voted for it, but I would have never guessed that will be this close to winning with that song.
  11. The big European countries are taking TISC lately.
  12. Hm, looking at the last three countries voting... maaaybe Italy got this?
  13. This TISC has more changes in the lead than the Indy500.
  14. When sent my votes I didn't expect that my 4 points to will be this important.
  15. HUNGARY UKRAINE 12 DENMARK 11 LITHUANIA 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SERBIA 8 FINLAND 7 GREECE 6 NORWAY 5 NETHERLANDS 4 FRANCE 3 ROMANIA 2 KAZAKHSTAN 1 Good luck to everyone! And see ya at the next Open contest!
  16. A couple of weeks ago I said that my 12 points is predictable this time. So... let's see if anyone can guess it.
  17. HUNGARY DENMARK 11 LITHUANIA 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SERBIA 8 FINLAND 7 GREECE 6 NORWAY 5 NETHERLANDS 4 FRANCE 3 ROMANIA 2 KAZAKHSTAN 1
  18. HUNGARY Hi Everyone! Szép jó estét mindenkinek! I hope you are enjoying the Grand Final. Here are the votes of the Hungarian jury: LITHUANIA 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SERBIA 8 FINLAND 7 GREECE 6 NORWAY 5 NETHERLANDS 4 FRANCE 3 ROMANIA 2 KAZAKHSTAN 1
  19. It's been rough for non-European countries, this can be the third TISC in a row where we have an all European podium. We had 11(!) TISC in a row where we had at least one non-European country on the podium, but Annual 2022 broke that stat. Somehow I broke the contest for non-Europeans when I hosted last year.
  20. I have no idea which of benefits from having many Eastern/Central European countries in the final session. Maybe it should benefit Germany in theory, but they got an English language song.
  21. That's a great comeback for Serbia, right before all the Eastern European countries vote in the final session. They got a pretty good chance to reach the Top10.
  22. still alive for the podium, and here come and to maybe help them.
  23. Lol, two 12 points from two multi-juries, and almost nothing from the rest. What a strange contest for us. Thanks France!
