    Excavated the men’s cross-country relay from Lahti from the depths of my hard drive. Normally the most boring event on the calendar, but today a rare treat, And, whaddaya know, turned out to be an epic great race!

    Snooker World Championships in May also postponed. OK we are all going to argue whether it’s a sport.

    I remember many years ago when rugby was still supposedly amateur the captain of Scotland “worked” for a brewery. No prizes for guessing which brand the Scottish team were always photographed drinking in the dressing room after a win.

    I commented back during the Worlds at her skill in working the Red Bull can into camera shot; this is the reward. Take note, youngsters, practice during the off-season.

    Good that Chinese-Italian relations are going to be close, they have brought so many benefits lately.

    You think that’s bad, I was watching the NC Continental Cup finals.....weirdest commentary you will ever hear, I recommend it. (Weirder even than the joint Scots Gaelic/English commemtaries we sometimes get here).

    We have a live non-League football match on in England. Instead of spreading themselves evenly amidst the vast tracts of empty spaces, the fans ignore all expert advice & herd together like cows behind the goal & near the snackbar. Oh well, we survived the Blitz, we will survive this.
