  12. It was a fake though. There is no way they could have baked those pies in the time available!
  13. Should add this address will also cover full speed skating and short-track skating. Short track starts next weekend.
  14. Yes, Youtube is much easier to navigate than EVS sports was, plus live chat etc if you can speak Korean, Just too bad about the commentary.
  15. YouTube Channel is here. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVZpqbnDjHyScSYGFPMUtYA Geo-blocked in some countries. But whyohwhyohwhy no commentary? Both Bobsleigh and Luge - which have a much lower audience overall - pay for a professional commentator on their streams, and they also pick up various athletes on location to do expert analysis. It makes such a huge difference to the watchability of the streams, to spectator understanding of the sport and also promotes the athlete-commentators as personalities. Sheer foolishness.
  16. Technically Kurdish is part of the Indo-Iranic family, so is related to Farsi, Hindi, Punjabi etc. Which are also part of the large Indo-European family. But even then I don’t think there is a single standard Kurdish, just lots of dialects.
  17. Just go back to Church Slavonic and admit that the last 1000 years has all been a terrible mistake.

  20. Italian had beaten her, but went off the edge of the track.
  21. Kirsten Wild will need to get the floor of her house reinforced, she has so many European medals.
  22. We always change the team about a lot during Years 1-3, then consolidate in Year 4 of the Olympic cycle. So that’s why we get better.
  23. Watched a film of the 1953 TdF. About half the stages finished at outdoor tracks which doubled as football or rugby stadiums. Not many left now, I bet.
