    Seems a bit odd when people are regularly drafted into CC relay teams from biathlon, which is a completely different federation.

    Same is true in many events where there are more men than women on the circuit - ski jumping, ski & board cross, slopestyle etc etc.

    Incredible race! Incidentally, no crowds at anything in at the moment - but suddenly, there will be 1000 spectators at Kitzbuhel next week. Celebrities only, of course.

    Just so everyone’s clear Djokovic is not being deported because he is a health risk. If he was a health risk it would be grossly irresponsible to take him to the airport & put him on a plane.     I would say quite likely. Generally, NZ are tight with their budgetting. Don’t know if they are in the habit of sending young hopefuls just for the experience.

    Felt sorry for Ilves: so close to what must have been Estonia’s first WC win in any winter Olympic event for a long time. (Of course, someone is going to come back & say “How can you ignore Estonia’s dominance of Team Moguls?” or whatever).

    First road racing of the year this weekend - National Champs live on ES Player & GCN in the small hours of the morning.

    Yeah, the loss of population was very noticeable last week when you ran out of people to screw slalom poles into the ground, splash salt water on the snow etc.
