  2. After 2006, Fabris was never as so good again... But Fabris also never had such successes outside the 2006 Olympics than the current Ghiotto...
  3. 2021 was a different Fede than in 2025... The question is, what kind of Fede will she be like now after such a long return?
  4. I've already written about Fede's imminent threat of falling out of the top 7 in the WCSL giant slalom. There are 3 giant slalom events left until the Olympics, and Colturl and Moltzan are about just 50 points behind. Therefore, Fede will have to start from 8th to 15th place in the giant slalom at the Olympics, and the start list was important saw last Semmering World Cup...
  5. In your opinion, is this trials system good or bad? What if it were abolished and people were given the chance to qualify through the World Cup, or, say, the earlier World Championships? A gold medalist would then have more free decision and could only aim for top form at the Olympics, not on trails in December.
  6. Looking at their internal qualifications, it doesn't surprise me... Although in the USA they also have their own trials, and they're probably even more brutal than in Ned.
  7. Regarding Brignone, the latest news is that the president of Fisi, the Italian ski federation, has said he would advise her to return just to the Olympics, without competing in any World Cup events in January. This likely means the SG and Gigant events, without downhill. In any case, her spot will wait until the very end without having to participate in the internal World Cup qualifiers on team of Italy.
  8. In my opinion, someone did a bad job with the first surgery – I don't know where she had it done. Fortunately, the Italian federation has an excellent medical staff and a contract with Dr. Panziermi – he's already saved Goggia and her career several times. Now, he performed a brilliant operation on Brignone knee (at the very beginning she was dangerous with amputation leg under the knee!!!). 20- 30 years ago, many Italian skiers had to end their careers early due to bad done surgeries, including superstars like Deborah Compagnoni.
  9. And is the current Ned men's team coached by an athlete who competed in the 2002 OG and won a medal in the 1000 meters, I think? A blond guy with long hair.
  10. Did he say anything about Brignone? I think only Vlhova and her close people know where they stand, and I don't think any journalists from other countries have any special information on the matter.
  11. People are different. I don't do this out of disrespect, but I don't always do to search different names. We're intelligent people, and I think everyone knows who we're talking about
  12. https://www.neveitalia.it/sport/scialpino/femminile/news/vlhova-il-tempo-scorre-e-non-c-e-ancora-una-data-per-il-rientro-sto-bene-e-lavoro-duro-ogni-giorno Petra will be upset that you abandoned her and someone from another country has to post information about her
  13. Yeah, bon't be angry if I sometimes mistakes some foreign names.
  14. You also had escapes: Bloemen, Veldkamp? But probably because they were too weak for you? Kramer wouldn't have chosen Belgium in his prime time?
  15. Remember Vorviej's face when he lost to Brodka from Poland in the 1500 in 2014 by 0.003 hundredths? Overall, Vorviej looked like some kind of cyborg, not a normal guy, even an athletic one...
  16. I also have a question for the Dutch who live there: are your winters as cold now as they were 20-30 years ago, allowing for outdoor skating: on ice rinks, frozen canals, lakes, etc.? Or is everything now indoors? Could this mean fewer people will participate in this sport in the future?
  17. The Netherlands invests millions in this sport and they have a large pool of athletes. They always need to be at the top and win medals, even if they don't have a phenomenon like Stolz or, once upon a time, Kramer. It's similar with Austria or Switzerland in alpine skiing: thanks to their know-how and significant financial resources, they can turn an average skier like Rast, Holdener, Gisin, etc., into an Olympic/World Championship medalist. Italy, on the other hand, doesn't have that kind of money, and it hurts even more that we're losing talents like Colturi. It hurts much more than Nor loss of Braathen, because there are another 4 or 5 at his level or slightly under.
  18. Wellinger is out of form, but he'll probably be in fourth place at the Olympics... Because who else do Germany have besides Raimund, Hoffman, Pasche, and him? Geiger is in even worse form. The overall run of form from Wellinger and Geiger this season has been incredible. Overall, Germany has been very weak this season: two in the top three, but no wins, and outside the top three, there's a black hole.
  19. For Germany, the Hannavald curse of 2002 still persists?
  20. Stessa distanza, stesso stile, stessa fase TDS, solo esattamente quattro anni fa: dicembre 2021... Vedete qualche differenza?
  23. Barp and Pellegrino OK today. Graz was in the top 30 until the 8th km, but weakened significantly and now has no points – not good. Carollo's performance today was completely incomprehensible for me, but it's typical for Italians skier in recent years, apart maybe from Pellegrino, sameone can finish 9-10th in one day and then 50th the next day. De Fabiani? I don't think he'll ever return to even a decent level. Korostelev has probably already received some new vitamins? Maybe Cramer could get us something too for us, to be able to scare Nor more seriously
