  1. The most important is the men's team. If the girls advance, it will be a bonus but it is not and will not be a big chance for a medal in Paris.
  2. I remember that in the 1990s a Slovak club played in the football Champions League: 1. FC Kosice. Does it still exist and is it related to this hockey club?
  3. I understand that. Only great individuals like Peter Sagan or Petra Vlhova can be at the forefront of sports information in their prime. Surely, when Slovakia advanced for group on the FIFA World Cup in 2010, football also dominated the press at that time?
  4. The Italian team today: -4 fights - 4 defeats against rivals who were eliminated in next rounds. Disgrace. Biggest chance - Kakhelashvili was swept off the mat by the Hungarian. We are a joke in this sport and I don't know why we sent these people to Istanbul? Only Chamizo or Conyedo should will go in freestyle category. The rest of squad let them start a serious trening instead of embarrassing themselves further. That's all I have to say.
  5. Burgo, however, is very far from promotion. Unfortunately, our team only competes in c-1 and c-2 competition after skipping sprints in k-1. Craciun to win a QO in c-1. I wonder who I'm putting up now? Craciun or Tacchini?
  6. Looking to the right you can see which sports dominate in your country: football and hockey It's similar in our country, e.g. recently Trentino won the Champions League in volleyball and information about it did not even appear on most portals, and on the sports portals it was somewhere at the bottom . The popularity of football can only be covered by tennis thanks to Sinner.
  7. Rodini and Cesarini are also quite short and slim but they won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in the women's lightweight category. Unfortunately, they have had a constant problem with injuries since Tokyo, especially Cesarini. They missed many training sessions on last 3 years, so our staff started trying other variants, e.g. Rodini-Crosio or Crosio-Buttignon. At the European Championships the bronze was won by Rodini-Crosio but in Lucerna there will be a return to the golden team from Tokyo: Rodini-Cesarini. If they are healthy and in good shape, I hope to advance but beating Greece or France will be very difficult. A lot will depend on the track conditions: both of us don't like the wind in our faces. France has not started this year yet but it is an experienced team (Tarantola- Bove: silver medalists in Tokio) and will certainly will bet difficult conditions.
  8. Unfortunately in LW2x there will be a massacre in Lucerne. There will be only 2 free places and 3 very strong crews from Europe: ITA, FRA, GRE + 1 strong AUS. Each of these crews can win a medal in Paris if they get there. However, due to stupid regulations weak Austria is already in Paris, becouse they got there through a poorly continental tournament. And in 2028 there will be no light weight anymore, only beach rowing
  9. The reserve rower replaced the starter in Tokyo itself due to a case of Covid: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rowing_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics_–_Men's_coxless_four I used to think that it was about too little money that the Italian Olympic Committee invests in rowing and that is why it is more profitable for some athletes to go to study in the USA and work there, instead of continuing their sports career in Italy. In the UK or the Netherlands, I haven't heard of any cases where someone went to study during the four-year period between the Games, or maybe I'm wrong? What's more, when I look at the Romanian team led by Italian coaches, I see greater stability and continuity in the squads there than in our country. In addition, Romania trains most of the time in Italy. I don't know what the problem is, but the frequent departures to study in the USA - mainly women - and the constant injuries are strange. Perhaps we should follow the example of Romania, which is not as rich a country as the UK, the Netherlands or Germany, but has great results in rowing. Maybe we should bring those coaches back to Italy and let them build such a system here? But it definitely invests more money.
  10. I was concerned that if she called a press conference specifically, it would be to announce his say goodbye. Fortunately, I was wrong
  11. That's true but team sports have their magic time at the Olympics, independently of other medals.
  12. For me everything counts. In our case, the size of the team often translated into the number of medals won. Unfortunately in our country, the small number of teams has a negative impact on the number of people in games: let's be honest but probably 4 teams is not enough compared to, for example, Spain.
  13. At the World Championships 2023 we were 1st under the line of QO in this category but with a different lineup.
  14. It will be very difficult to get promoted in our case then. With each edition these qualifications become more and more difficult in most sports.
  15. https://fisi.org/lannuncio-di-wierer-continuo-fino-a-milano-cortina-2026/
  16. In my opinion Romania has made more progress in recent years under the work of Italian coaches than we did under Franco Cattaneo. I don't know if any changes are needed but we definitely need more money to compete with the Netherlands or the UK. Romania shows that it is possible
  17. In my opinion only Ukraine is out of reach even in our form is close to the previous World Champ. However, we have too many injuries and changes. Some rowers also go to study in the USA and there is no continuation of work. In your opinion we are greater chances for advance in W2-?
  18. Italians in Tokyo 2021 they replaced a rower in M4- due to Covid - a few hours before the final and they had a bronze medal.
  19. I'm hope that Italy will advance in: M1x: Mumolo, M4-: Lodo, Vicino, Abagnale, Kohl, LW2x: Rodini- Cesarini W8: Pelacchi, de Filippis, Gnatta, Rocek, Codato, Terrazzi, Mondelli, Bumbaca, Capponi. In M8: USA and Canada will be favourite then Italy. In W2- I have no idea what English-Hawke/Meriano can do. I'm a bit surprised that we don't send W4x. From what I heard: Guerra/Gobbi are will prepared for W2x and maybe that's why. In a situation where Rodini-Cesarini will start in LW2x, Buttignon-Crosio will be reserves in the lightweight category - I remind you that these two advanced to the World Championships in W2x.
  20. Men: M1x: Ita, Gbr or Rom. M4-: Italy and Switzerland, 8-: Two for Italy/Can/USA
  21. In LW2x two places will be taken by someone from 3: ITA, FRA, GRE. Each of these crew has almost the same chances and it will be a very close race. Whoever emerges victorious from this fight can win a medal in Paris. WX4: Ukraine and Fra/Can/USA. Italian women don't send a crew here. W8: Italy and Ger/Chn.
  22. As far as I know, Crosio is not injured. There are 4 equal lightweight rowers: Rodini, Cesarini, Crosio and Buttignon. The final training sessions were supposed to decide which team would go to Lucerne and apparently the gold duo from Tokyo was selected. Even if he advances, changes are possible for the Olympics.
  23. How would you rate the Conyedo-Baran fight? When was the last time this Valiev from Albania fought somewhere?
