I remember Sydney 2000 best: it was my first Olympics as an informed spectator. For me, Trento deserved this title after so many years of waiting. Moreover, it is a rare example of an Italian team with a great youth academy that is not afraid to rely on young Italians: Michieletto and Giannelli trained there in their youth.

A remember that: an unbelievable finish. These were the beginnings of the crisis in our sport and miss of this gold was very hard for me. She later competed for the Azerbaijan national team.
