LDOG got a reaction from MHSN in Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2018
A lyric video is fine, we got 5th in last contest with that and we normally rank low.
Personally I hate live concert videos. Unless it's something with only a small crowd, the audio is often awful

No, asian qualifier will be separate from world qualifier this time.

We won't have the same format, there will only one final OQT this time and it will have teams from all continents.

I voted PD.
I know, it sucks, but there aren't many options.

No, it's like this:
5 continental champions + Japan --> to olympics.
top 4 of pro-league (not counting continental champions) + top 2 of hockey world league (which is now left only with lower ranked countries) + other 6 best ranked countries left ---> to OQT (which in turn gives the remaining 6 places for the olympics).
There is almost no way for any hockey pro-league participant country to fail to reach at least the OQT since they are all highly ranked.
Here is a blog article that refutates the arguments given from Hockey India to pull out of Pro-league: https://be-hockey.com/what-is-happening-in-india/

More rugby news: Canada has qualified for both boys and girls competition, however they may leave the boys quota as they are aiming to qualify in Hockey next week. If they reject the quota, it will go to USA.

Pools for the Men's World Cup:
A -
B -
C -
D -
We were handed the worst pool unfortunately, with the hardest teams from band 3 and 4 (Spain and France). All the other pools have at least one clear "weakling". Pool winners go straight to QF, 2nd and 3rd placed teams advance to a pseudo Round 16.

PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Bet Contest Final Standing available here
Dunadan phelps Albe
Italian 1-2-3 for our Bet Contest! @Dunadan impressive as always, managed to obtain a mind-blowing 212 points out of a possible 250 (with 49 bets won). Second place for @phelps who won more bets than Dunadan (51 to be exact), but lost key points in a few bets. 3rd place for @Albe, who was the participant that won the most bets of all (54, really impressive).
A special mention to 4th placer @Nate River, unfortunately he couldn't give Canada the first prediction medal of the year (those missed 10-pointers in Speed Skating...).
With this, I now go back to prediction management retirement. I won't be organizing the next editions of Bet Contest (unless no one else is willing to do it), so thank you all for everything, from the Bet Contest Organization Committee (LDOG & Quasit)

Ok, let's see...
About 2): As I stated in the first post of the relevant discussion thread, the users do suggestions, but the selection committee reserves the right to reformulate them or give them another interpretation. Regardless of that, what you're saying in this case is not true. Here is the post where you made suggestions and you wrote "individual medals":
About 3): Why does that matter? the predictions (and subsequently, the results) are set in stone since the deadline of February 9th, it's not like any participant can go now and edit their predictions according to what you say here. In fact, anyone that does that would be DSQ. This is a "one phase" contest.
About 1): We are not perfect, far from it, and that's why we make mistakes. Sometimes some ambiguities or lack of clarity in the bets flies under my radar. In this case, somehow, we made a mistake and deleted the word "individual" from your original suggestion. I don't know how that happened and I apologize deeply for that.
Since the last contest I established a policy that in the case any user presents to me a problem with the meaning of a particular bet in the discussion thread AFTER the contest has already opened and AFTER several users have already posted predictions, I would then clarify the meaning of that bet in the discussion thread. No one objected to this policy neither 2 years ago nor now, therefore, I understood that the participants gave tacit agreement to it. I'm just asking users to read the specific discussion thread created for this contest (that is apart from the regular prediction discussion thread), I don't think that's asking too much honestly.
In the case of this particular bet, one user asked about the relays' problem (this was BEFORE the deadline) and I answered that according to our interpretation it doesn't take into account relays. The reason: we simply thought including the relays made the bet easier than what we wanted it to be.
Later (AFTER the deadline), another user warned me of some ambiguity problems with bet number 58 and since it was after the deadline (so, users couldn't edit their posts anymore, unlike with bet 60) I decided to award the invested points for both YES and NO.

Relays don't count. Someone asked about it before the deadline and I clarified that (and by the way, your bet for that one was 1 point, not 10).

Sure, and you could be a monkey typing from Thailand for all I know. We can't live life without making any assumptions.
(now, being more serious, Pablita is either: a real female name -it's an unusual one in spanish at least- or, more likely, a nickname for Paola, which also is a female name in all latin languages).
