Qualification Tracker

Test

Everything posted by intoronto

  1. Here is my simulated team size. Archery: 3 (all men. The men finished with silver at the test event, and looks like they have improved quite a bit, atp its a toss up if they all qualify). Athletics: 61 (more can qualify). Badminton: 4 (men's and women's singles + one doubles event, from a continental reallocation). Basketball: 24 (men's and women's teams. Hopefully the men can qualify). Beach volleyball: 8 (2 men's and women's pairs) Boxing: 3 (don't think any will qualify in the world tournaments). Canoeing: 8; 2 in slalom and 6 in flatwater (4 in men's kayak, 1 in canoeing and 1 in women's kayak; Oldershaw or the C2 cannot qualify do to quota rules). Cycling: 18; 6 in road cycling, 1 in bmx, 4 in mountain biking and 7 or 8 in track (depends on if Beveridge competes in the team pursuit) Diving: 8 (4 men and 4 women) Equestrian: 10 (qualification is complete). Fencing: 6 (one in each individual event) Field hockey: 16 (men's team) Football: 18 (women's team) Golf: 4 (2 in each gender currently in qualification position, this is the maximum team size) Gymnastics: 8; 6 in artistic (women's team and one man), 2 in trampoline (one in each event) Judo: 7 (currently 7 in qualification position; unlikely any other athletes move up into a qualification spot)/ Modern pentathlon: 2 (both women, one is qualified already, the other will qualify through the rankings as she is 5th) Rowing: 30 (currently 22 qualified in 6 events. The men's and women's quad sculls should qualify at the worlds, as only one both per gender can qualify at that event). Rugby sevens: 24 (men's and women's tournament, hopefully the men qualify) Sailing: 13 (13 qualified in 9 events) Shooting: 2 (both women) Swimming: 24 (same as the worlds) Synchro: 2 (duet) Table tennis: 2 (one man and one woman, the men's team is unlikely to qualify) Taekwondo: 1 (qualification is over) Tennis: 5 (Raonic, Nestor, Pospisil, Shamsadin and Bouchard) Triathlon: 5 (5 currently in qualification position; 2 men and 3 women) Volleyball: 12 (men's team) Water polo: 12 (men's team, this might be a stretch but the draw is favourable for Canada at the final tournament). Weightlifting: 2 (one man and one woman) Wrestling: 9 (7 are already qualified, I expect Garcia and Gill to qualify at the worlds, though it will be tough) Total: 351
  2. I hit refresh and it worked.
  3. No Heywoodu is responding to what I posted. Fisa is proposing countries can compete only 10 to 12 events mpving forward. Fisa has also proposed dropping one of the fours events for men and adding a women's event
  4. Canada's men's eights in rowing Mark Oldershaw and Adam van Koeverden have yet to qualify in canoeing/kayaking. Christine Giriard is still competing but with only one spot doesn't look like she will make the team.
  5. Do you know which country will receive the men's 49er reallocated spot from Oceania?
  6. Haiti beat Canada in u17 women;s soccer in the group stage but missed out on the world cup after losing to Canada in the bronze medal game
  7. Haha For Canada anywhere between 18 to 24 medals. Top 12 in overall medals. Golds I won't even try to predict
  8. It appears she is going
  9. I am not accusing anyone, hence the question mark and emoticon.
  10. Well the event is happening in Ba... I mean even at Pan Am Canada beat Cuba (would never have happened anywhere else imo)
  11. Doping, Doping, Doping?
  12. So what is going on with the men's weights?
  13. They never scored a final head kick for yong (she would have won then...) oh well even though she is the highest ranked athlete from Canada here, I expected her not to qualify.
  14. She used to compete for Canada, so maybe that is why he is confused lol
  15. http://olympic.ca/rio-2016-qualification-tracker/
  16. FISA is proposing that countries can compete in a maximum 10-12 (out of 14) events at the Olympics moving forward.
  17. North Korea has only one spot in the women's event, do you mean the men;s event as well?
  18. Draw for the Rio Basketball tournaments is this Friday.
  19. Canada has only qualified one man... not looking good
  20. Canada was perfect today (undefeated) and became the first country to qualify all 6 women's weight classes for Rio
  21. Canada 2 for 2 today so far. 2 more to go.
  22. Omnium won't happen. I read a report in French that Remi Pelltier Roy is retiring because Canada won't qualify for Rio. Can a nation start in the sprint if it has won a keirn quota?
