Qualification Tracker

Test

  1. I don't think this is correct. Canada has 2 already qualified, and one competing here in the men's tournament.
  2. The thing is Canada did compete at the qualifiers (2019 u-17 Pan Ams). I honestly think the COC has failed to disseminate the information to the respective NF's and this is what we are left with. Shooting did not send anyone, rowing had no idea (lol). I would be surprised if Sailing Canada accepts the quota spots it earned. IIRC for the 2010 Youth Olympics, Canada did not care too much and sent not their best athletes. Its a real shame.
  3. Just by the looks of it, I don't think Canada will send more than 4 kayak in each discipline (based on how the internal qualifiers have gone). Who would be the backups in the two events Canada stands to gain quotas in?
  4. Spoke with Softball Canada, they had no idea about this event till I pointed it out to them. I have a hard time believing that lol.
  5. 64 of the 86 participants gained quotas... lol 12 of 13 participating noc's also gained quotas (not sure who the lucky loser was)
  6. I wonder which event will lose quotas now. And surprising the Junior Pan Ams are adding quotas.
  7. "“We are so thrilled to see two of the best paddlers in the world racing together after such a long hiatus and a challenging period of time,” said Casey Wade, CKC Chief Executive Officer. “With respect to the women’s C2 500m event, we continue to work closely with the International Canoe Federation to secure an additional women’s canoe Olympic quota spot due to extenuating circumstances dating back to the 2019 World Championships. This will also allow us to have a second entry in the women’s C1 200m Event.” Is this new? Multiple entries in canoeing!?
  8. In an upset, Laurence VINCENT-LAPOINTE (ie 6x world champion) has NOT been selected for the C-1 event, as she lost out to Katie Vincent in a 3 race series (she won the last two races). With the C-2 looking highly unlikely to qualify, probably the world's best female canoeist is not going to be in Tokyo.
  9. I believe the organizing committee set the team max
  10. Most likely. They were in the top 8 at the qualifiers.
  11. Women's softball has been added Participating countries: United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, and the host country Colombia
  12. Lol like I said earlier the mixed teams all have 2 men... so much for gender equality. 7 teams competing only...yikes
  13. Too bad, that's like me saying any Eastern Europe singer is from Russia
  14. Sad, I feel for those who were to attend like @Olympian1010 I wonder if this is the same thing about foreign workers. I had an interview with them, which idk what will happen now.
  15. Kingsbury swept both titles. What an athlete he is. I always have founded strange that the FIS has never pushed or asked for the dual moguls to be added to the Olympic program
  16. Rheal Cormier, baseball, Olympian in 08
  17. Its not out of the ordinary. Two people have held the flag as back as 2018 ...
  18. Yea 0 chance if the qualifier is not held.
  19. ICF press release says "previous results" will be used
  20. lol Canada missing the C2 women..... win all the world titles and then miss the biggest event lol
