  1. At the World Cup stop in Portugal, Sophie Methot won bronze and Jeremy Chartier finished in fourth.
  2. Paula Findlay, former triathlete won the Canadian national Championships time trial. Sort of a comeback for her.
  3. 4 women under 52 in the 400m! Can't recall the last time that happened. Coincidentally those 4 will be going to the Commonwealth games (and presumably the Worlds)
  4. Sarah Mitton with a huge personal best in the shot put with a 20.33m throw at nationals!! wow
  5. The women just beat the USA!!
  6. The missing events in ski mountaineering are not included in the 23. Also the ISU is phasing out the individual 3000m
  7. Beach volleyball team announced: https://sirc.ca/news/canadian-beach-volleyball-team-named-for-2022-commonwealth-games/
  8. Everyone's favourite new sport is on the Pan Am program
  9. WOmen's luge has 47 quotas, 35 individual + 6 pairs!? for an Olympic event. What a joke.
  10. Can't wait too see the Brazilian Lawn Bowls team!!
  11. Sorry I totally missed your post....
  12. Not sure where to post this, but and will become members of the Commonwealth, meaning they would be eligible to compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games (I think 2022 is too soon). This means 74 teams are scheduled to compete in 2026.
  13. "Some 23 new events were proposed and an additional athlete quota of 359 (113 male/246 female) was requested. "" https://olympics.com/ioc/news/milano-cortina-2026-set-to-become-the-most-gender-balanced-olympic-winter-games-in-history
  14. We are short of events proposed lol, how will we get to 23 lol. I wonder if ISU proposed something weird in speed skating.
  15. I think they proposed sprint event for the three on the program, and presumably the women's doubles as well.
  16. The IOC: "Five out of the seven Olympic Winter IFs had put forward a request for changes from the programme at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. " We know 5 of the 23 was accepted. I am pretty sure curling did not ask for anything new, and hockey is unlikely as well. This means the other 5 IFs asked for events: Skiing: The three successful events + mixed team ski cross Biathlon: Single mixed relay Luge: Women's doubles Presumed: Sprint/natural track luge events (6 in total) Bobsleigh/Skeleton: Mixed team Skating: Team sprint in speed skating (2) Still missing a few. Any ideas what other events were proposed?
  17. Canada potentially screwing themselves over with that!
  18. Canada withdraws from the men's tournament:https://waterpolo.ca/article/75996
  19. Thanks. Mens doubles is down to 12 by the looks of it (or singles is reduced even further). I wonder if that means max 1 sled per NOC in doubles
  20. Any idea if women's doubles luge will be a part of the relay?
  21. Don't think the FIS proposed one. Surprised they didn't.
  22. Any idea on how the luge breakdown will be? Figure skating will likely drop a pair or ice dance pair
