    Canada's team is very new and inexperienced. A lot of the team retired after Tokyo.

    Hoping for at least a few gold medals. I'd think El-Nahas and C.Deguchi would be favourites. CBP lost to the Australian competitor at the Pan Am and Oceania championships.

    Pistol and Rifle national trials were held recently. Their second scores would have placed them in the finals of their respective events. Lynda Kiekjo is on the developmental team? How lol.

    Bukovec/Wilkerson is through to the finals in their 4th tournament together, pretty impressive. They beat two German teams who easily beat them just a month ago, so what an improvement in a month.

    Our men's relay can't catch a break. If Kisil wasn't injured I would think Canada would have won a medal here. RIP

    Acevedo with a swim of his life! If Liendo and Kisil (who is injured) managed their times from the Tokyo Final, Canada would have won silver...

    Summer Mcintosh at age 15 wins her first major world individual medal! Breaks 4 mins and the new NR! Not bad for a 15 year old! (She did win the silver medal in the 400m at the short course worlds )

    I really would like to see the men's team win a medal in the relay. Unfortunately Kisil is injured. If Kisil and Gaziev and can lower their time by a second each (which seems possible), perhaps a medals is in the cards.

    Hoping the men's team can qualify in football/soccer. Was reading reports that this is one of the deepest teams ever (even with a few key names missing) and that they had a training camp (unlike previous years). The key will be to defeat the USA in the group stage.

    Not bad for Day 1 preliminaries. Our artistic swimming team is done dominating in the Pan American region. Scores don't change really in a quad, so it looks like Canada is headed to qualifying no one in this sport for Paris.
