  1. Yeah, we had good goalkeepers before even by 1970s standards and then Młynarczyk in the 1980s (FC Porto fans might remember him). Overall we had a good crop of keepers in XXI century as well. Boruc was slightly overrated but made a name for himself in Celtic (he was generally disliked in Poland due to playing for Legia, everyone outside of Warsaw usually hates his club in Poland) and now we have a small controversy with Grabara who said he's not interested in sitting on the bench for NT (he would have been picked as GK #3 over Bułka if he didn't say those words and it was forgotten since there's no need to stir the pot for GK #3). Alas with Szczęsny heading for the exit door, Grabara should be in line to be GK #1 unless he fails at Wolfsburg. Skorupski & Bułka ain't exactly slam dunk choice over him right now.
  2. It was speculated that Lewandowski would end his NT career if we didn't qualify for the Euros but now the notion is he will continue for two more years since the next World Cup is in USA and there is a thought he could leave for MLS after Barcelona lets him go. Obviously it's anyone's guess if anyone in MLS would take him when he would be 38yo? But it's to be expected he will resign from NT if we don't qualify for the next World Cup anyway. Also the news is Kamil Grosicki will resign from NT after the France match. The Austria subs were widely panned in our media (especially Probierz sending Grosicki on before Urbański).
  3. It's been confirmed that Wojciech Szczęsny won't play in the last group match vs France and the previous rumours about him retiring from NT after Euro have gained more momentum. Apparently our HC didn't convince him to change his mind and one of the Nations League matches in September (vs Scotland or Croatia) will be his farewell appearance.
  4. scores in the 100th minute
  5. And Tah will be suspended
  6. Politicians decide who gets to live what life and who doesn't. Even Germany was back at the Olympics in 1952 less than 7 years since World World II ended (which is three years less than Sochi 2014 happened). Bottom line is, some lives are more important than others and this has always been the case. I've been living on this world long enough to realize it's absolutely worthless to listen to any politicians and their reasoning why killing one person is more justified than killing thousands of others. Just get on with the show...
  7. winning a match is still a good thing. When I started watching they were the worst South American team by miles (though probably is the best baseball there instead)
  8. Since this game is cooked we might as well check more memes.
  9. Would have never happened 10 years ago
  10. We had two yellow cards for diving in this tournament and both for Leao
  11. And Georgia waste match point right at the death so it ends 1-1.
  12. 8 yellow cards in this match so a new best mark for this tournament (Austria vs France had 7).
  13. The old fashioned goal scored with a chest
  14. Hranac having a shocking Euro so far. Gives away a handball penalty and Georgia take the lead after being totally outplayed in the first half.
  15. Hlozek scored a goal with a face & arm combo and VAR takes it back (duh!)
  16. Hey, it's only taken two games to have a goalless draw in Copa America And I actually predicted one in the Ecuador match tonight
  17. Yeah, a temporary pool is a dumb idea but it's only because of more people can make it to the stands. Swimming doesn't really attract that much interest since there are only a few nations that compete for medals. The medal roster in athletics is much bigger in comparison.
  18. It's hard to keep track of these NCAA names & times especially they very often disappear after one-two seasons. That's the downside of being a athletics prowerhouse where the revolving door in running is exceptionally high.
  19. Well, the AR flagged it offside to begin with so even without VAR the goal wouldn't have counted anyway. And yeah, this means is the first team eliminated.
  20. The offside was clear but it was deemed impeding and the French GK wouldn't have saved it anyway IMO.
  21. Btw, the Dutch have brought 5 statues now. The one in the middle has to be Gullit so I guess it's all about football after all?
  22. Now it's all down to Pays Bas. If they don't beat France then we are out in 3 hours time.
  23. 3-1 and we've just send 36- year old Grosicki on the field. Yeah, it's over
  24. Austria leads 2-1 and if they win only Holland's win over France keeps us in the tournament.
  25. We got lucky here. Buksa & Piątek did nothing all match but we scored off a corner
