Recency bias like hell in case of Dibaba. But I suppose 99% of those who voted wouldn't even recognize Blankers-Koen on a picture if it wasn't signed.
Obviously no chance for the field events

35 - 22
Totally expected.

We were down by four at half-time but Norway only needed ten minutes in second half to stretch their lead to 10.

Thoughts from the men's race:
What happened to Eliseev on the last lap?
According to this article, he simply struggled with lactate acid on the last lap. He is as puzzled as you are

vs
has started. We're without Kudlacz-Kloc, Kobylinska (injuries) and Achruk (maternity leave). It's gonna be a miracle if we lose by less than 10 (only if Norway take the foot off the gas in first game of the championships
).

Kamila Zuk in 24th with 9/10. That's encouraging but still not the best she can do.
-
Eckhoff over a minute behind. Even with 10/10 she'd finish behind Chevalier IMO.
-
Eckhoff 8/10. Bye.

Marte Olsbu and this Roeiseland person are one of the same?
Mind. Blown.
I thought you were trolling
You really didn't know Roeiseland is Olsbu's married name?
-
Eckhoff 5/5. There's still a chance

Coward!
Huh? I never use her married name since it's too long to type
-
Hanna Oeberg 10/10 and 12 seconds over Chevalier after second shoot. Should be enough.
-
Olsbu and Tandrevold blow it on the second shoot.
-
Herrmann 9/10. Race is not over.
Anais Chevalier 10/10.
-
I only came back from work to catch the finish of the men's race with Bjoentegaard's second shoot. I always miss on all the action in the 1 pm mid-week starts
Tiril Eckhoff with bib #88. That should keep the race honest

Feels like off-season on steroids! Irish names in a biathlon thread
However my name would be more difficult to pronounce than this!

I would appreciate if you kept Szczurek out of the team though, he is causing me the same amount of pain as people like Stvrtecky or Fratzscher.
Rats usually cause people problems
-
@WerlocYou made no spelling errors in Szczurek & Szwajnos names! Highly impressive!
Jakiela comes in since Piton will do the relay.

No no no, not Artem Markelov. The guy has been racing in F2 since before Fangio entered F1 and just never really improved. He's quite decent, no doubt, but especially for what would be a rookie he's both too old and hasn't nearly shown enough improvement in recent years.
You probably confused Markelov with Marco Apicella in F3000
Between 2016-2018 Markelov was a F2 title challenger, he finished runner-up only to LeClerc in 2017. I'd say he wouldn't have done worse than Sirotkin in 2018 Williams but it's all gone now. His current F2 team seems to be more focused on Formula E which probably explains why he's struggling so much.

Haas needs to step it up tbh. Quite frankly they've fallen behind Alfa Romeo on pace alone. I have a feeling having two rookies won't actually help them much either (though the so-called experienced pair of Magnussen & Grosjean simply run out of steam). Mazepin looks like the least-qualified of the Russian pay-drivers. I'd take Markelov over him and well, Sirotkin was slow but didn't crash too often. I wish we got to see Alexander Rossi in a proper F1 equipment.

I am a bit sad that it's not Hülkenberg, but Russell going from the worst car to the best is fun.
We haven't seen the "worst to best" since Damon Hill went from Brabham to Williams in 1993
-
George Russell fills in for Hamilton @ Sakhir GP. Jack Aitken will drive at Williams.
Mick Schumacher has been confirmed as Mazepin's teammate at Haas next season.
This is the busiest December 2nd in F1 since like 1962 or something!

The telescope dish featured in GoldenEye has collapsed. It was apparently damaged lately and set to be demolished anyway.

Why ? There still 31 Women races remaining this season, I really dont get how te overall WC should be already decided with all DH and SG still to be raced and Mikaela can perfectly win all the GS or SL until the end of the season
LIke @heywoodu said, she can skip more races this season and maybe only forcus for the World Champs. That would mean the overall globe is decided already. No way Vlhova skips even one race this season IMO.
