She's really talented tho and receives government's scholarship. Nevertheless, nobody hoped for the medal here and now she's gold. Just wow! 

In the Olympic "Park" competition, Great Britain dominated the men's qualifiers, with James Jones and Jack Clark 1st and 2nd respecitvely...
the recently crowned World Cup Champion, Marin Rantes, ended up only in 44th place and he didn't even qualify among the 24 riders (coming from 14 Nations) who will start the semifinal round...
the women's event didn't have any qualifying round and will start directly from the semifinals (even if they still call them qualifiers)...

That's so awesome that Dorota have gold medal here, I hope we will see her in Tokyo  

man, this is just unbelievable...the Polish girl in the -55kg won her semifinal against Yamada (JPN) at the Hantei (judges' decision)...
I'd have never thought something like this could happen...
better for Italy...
however, it was 2 minutes of nothing...I don't really know how could Cardin lose against this girl (with all respect for her)...

well that miracle just happened, she beat Yamada on Hantei and screamed like hell after the win it will be Germany vs Poland in the final

oh, boy...this is painful (and shameful)...Sara Cardin (women's -55kg) lost the pool final against an unknow Polish girl...
so, probably she won't even make the repechage bracket...

But the fun of autographs is having those that you collected yourself, as some sort of 'proof' of meeting someone....there's no emotional value in an autograph someone else got and you just bought or something  (at least for me)

actually this is the most important competition outside the Pro Tour (WSL), which is reserved to a small number of surfers coming almost only from the 4/5 powerhouses of the sport (26 are the "regulars")...
 
p.s. Igarashi is a WSL Tour member...so, Muniz's success can be described as "very prestigious"...
 
p.p.s. next year, this same competition will be the key event to earn an Olympic spot (apart from those reserved to the WSL tour specialists)...

If they could remove the mixed 4x400m relay and replace it by the women’s 50km walk I would be pretty happy...

Btw, I though that we have Polish pair in women's doubles, that I've never heard of, because livescore said "Adamczak/Krawczyk". Aaaaand it's Monique Adamczak and Desirae Krawczyk. 

no one of those activities (e-sports, mind games nor motorized vehicle competitions) should be named "sports"...
 
by definition, sport is a combination of mental and physycal skills (e-sports and mind games do NOT have the physycal part of the game, despite some people might start saying the opposite), the outcome of which must be mainly determined by human ability (and this takes also the "motorsports" away, since you can be the best driver in the world, but still you're going to end up dead last if you vehicle is not performing at least very close to those of your opponents)...
 
however, I don't care too much about those definitions taken from vocabolaies and encyclopedia...people can think and say what they want, but if the IOC adds to the Olympic Games schedule anything related to mind games, e-sports and motorsports I'm done with the Olympic Ideal and the Olympic Games once and forever. point.

This year's US open has not been very WTA. Though the only top 20 player who is out after first round is the number 1 seeded.  WTA strikes again
