Canadians stats in the NBA after the finish of 2023-24 regular season: Canadians NBA stats 2023-24.xls I have sorted out the players by average points and i also kept some important statistics as you see in the file above. I have also colored green the cellls with the NBAers that participated in 2023 World Cup and yellow those cells of 2 other players (i explain the reasons in last paragraph) Data taken from page: https://basketballbuzz.ca/nba/2023-24-canadian-nba-stats-tracker/ Note: According to Jordi's statements, on the sidelines of a Kings' game in Toronto somewhere in March, the 7 NBAers who played last year in the World Cup are sure for the final roster for Paris 2024 and the additions of Andrew Nembhard (Pacers) and Trey Lyles (Kings) seem very likely.3 points -

Well, my prediction is and will fight for the very important second place in the group after France. That normally means a clash with a Scandinavian country in the quarterfinals (most likely or ). In that perspective this isn't the best draw for us. But otherwise: there are no weak opponents in the quarters of an Olympic Games. Group A seems a bit stronger with the three Scandinavian powerhouses. Don't know what to say about . They played a very good OQT, but we destroyed them at the last Worlds. There's a good chance for them to reach the quarterfinals ( and are weaker). I really looking forward to the handball tournament in Paris/Lille. Only 100 days wait ...2 points

Unless things have recently changed the groupings for each zone is as follows. East Asia Southeast Asia South Asia West Asia Middle Asia Nations already qualified to the team event are not eligible for singles quotas. That means the women's East Asia quota is literally between North Korea and Mongolia while the men adds Hong Kong to the mix. Additionally, Thailand's women cannot compete nor can India in either gender.2 points -

Shayne Quiroz loses out on inner 10s after being level at 583, so unlucky. These quota holders didn't even give her a chance to qualify. So I just totted up what I think are the totals for the OQT for USA, AUS, GBR, Japan, Italy, China and France, using the FINA LCM rankings from 1st March 23 to today. Those were the countries I thought might have a chance of being near the top of a list like this. There are other countries which are strong in part (Canadian & Dutch women) but less so collectively. I could be doing them a disservice not including them, but I was already looking at enough to fry my brain anyway Russia would likely be somewhere in there, but with their uncertain status about things, I've not included in these figures. USA - Men 83, Women 98 = 181 total Aus - Men 34, Women 60 = 94 total Japan - Men 38, Women 27 = 65 total China - Men 25, Women 39 = 64 total GBR - Men 34, Women 25 = 59 total Italy - Men 33, Women 14 = 47 total France - Men 25, Women 14 = 39 total These are qualified swims, not swimmers. So Duncan Scott - for example - is in the GBR quota 3 times (100m fr, 200m fr, 200m IM). It would take me a lot longer to work that out, at least for countries that are not GBR. GBR is 37 total swimmers with an OQT - 23 men and 14 women.2 points -
