Keep in mind that teams are mostly just preparing to leave at this point. This will be just the tip of an iceberg in terms of athletes testing positive.

:SVK TV released informations about its Beijing 2022 project.

Our public TV will send 6 commentators and 2 experts/co-commentators to the games (Veronika Velez-Zuzulová for the Alpine Skiing events and Boris Valábik for the Ice Hockey matches) and 3 TV shots reporters who will mainly follow slovak athletes.

They will start live coverage daily on the RTVS sport channel RTVS:Šport from 2 or 3 AM and will end around 16:00, then will imediately follow the Bratislava Olympic studio with replays  and highlights from the day. At 20:00 every day our TV will present a hour general Summary of the day and then followed by several documentaries about our former participants, nowadays athletes. Other TV Shows like Citronáda (funny talk show about hockey but not only about it presented by our former world champion and now TV guest celebrity Richard Lintner) and other highlights and replays from the day until the new days coverage starts again.

The main live program broadcast will be obviously aimed for finals and slovak athletes competitions

The slovak public radio will send 2 reporters who will inform on a regular basis about the news and results from the Olympics, from 4:30AM a general 30 minutes program and from 18:30 a complete summary of the day. All SVK hockey matches will be obviously broadcasted live also in our public radio.

From today the RTVS will also release its official web platform https://www.rtvs.sk/olympiada-beijing-2022/slovaci-v-pekingu with all general informations about our athletes, the commplete schedule, TV svhedule etc... According to insidethegames.biz, German officials are concerned about the validity of Chinese PCR tests. Michael Hölz (President of the German snowboarding association) has stated that PCR test results -much like anti-doping ones- may easily be manipulated (implying that the Chinese have a long history of tampering with anti-doping tests...). For instance, they may announce a positive PCR test, not allow an athlete to compete in an event and then simply apologize by saying it was actually a false positive. As expected, the Chinese have already refuted this claim. What's your take on this?:mumble:

Canadian Rob Koehler, Director General of an organization called Global Athlete (who used to work for WADA btw) is also very skeptical and has voiced misgivings about the Chinese testing methods and results.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
