Mkbw50 351 Posted December 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2017 Those logos are very... Olympic-y, aren't they. Not that inspiring though. As now we come across the world To share these Games of old Let all the flags of every land In brotherhood unfold
NearPup 1,628 Posted December 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2017 Logo's whatever. It's not really any worse than any of the recent logos. At this point I feel like the "look of the games" maters a lot more. Beijing 2008 had a meh logo but a great look, hopefully 2022 will be the same. heywoodu 11,869 Posted December 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2017 Couldn't care less about the logos to be honest, they're always the same kind of hipster thing where a few lines here and there are supposed to have 134 pages of meaning and representing this and that mrv86 1 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 11,869 Posted February 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Quote No new sports at Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Samaranch also seems to rule out there being any new sports on the Beijing 2022 programme. "Beijing has not asked for any new sport on the programme," he says. "We are happy with that." New events will be proposed at the IOC Executive Board meeting in July. IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell had also said earlier this week how it would be hard to add new Winter Olympic sports. Ice climbing, ski mountaineering and bandy are among those interested. NearPup 1,628 Posted February 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2018 I think Ice Climbing is very ready for the Winter Olympics (though that’s a less appealing choice now that climbing is in the summer games). It still amazes me that the IOC appears to be so against cross countey running in the Winter Olympics, it would be a very natural fit IMO.
Skijumpingmaster 54 Posted February 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2018 They are talking about including natural track luge and luge sprint. And hopefully mixed team ski jumping will be included.
