:FRA So poor! No pursuit for Chevalier is a disaster, and Braisaz ist a disaster again.

Bescond is our only chance left...

Looks like Justine's ski speed stayed in Europe.

really happy for Wierer's bronze. I hope some miracle happens in next 2 races and she wins a gold eventually :pope:

To be honest, they have no other choice than to make Chloe fit for the Relay. Justine is a disaster, just like at the World Championships last year. Slow shooting times, many mistakes and a really weak skiing form. With her, the relay can only backfire. Both Anais and Julia had at least a good race which gives hope, but with Justine they will go home without a medal in the relay. Chloe is at least a solid relay runner and I hope she is running in a good shape so that she can be used in the starting position. But with Justine all hopes would be lost before the start, she just doesn't get it right at big events.
The Swedes and Norwegians are probably beatable anyway, but with Justine they would be without a chance even against teams like Russia or Germany.

It was cute hearing Mike and Scott Dixon doing the commentary together. :) They had some very similar reactions to clean shootings.

Top 10 for Moldova! But actually not their best ever result. Levtchenkova was 8th in Torino.

In case someone needs an update on pronouncing biathlon names. All non-Slavs should be thankful Stvrtecky's first name isn't Grzegorz or you'd all be screwed twice :p

German women back to their usual (snail) self, blowing two medal chances in one race. Still don't understand why biathlon has a medal event that is based on the result of another medal event. Makes zero sense for biathlon to be the only? sport to have this. Why not use the downhill results in alpine skiing as first part of the alpine combined results while we are at it?

Team Dressage and Eventing sharing some of the scores might be the closest to it.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
    • Well that was a disappointing opening ceremony. Not to mention the boss is late too...   Anyway this is another victim of bureaucracy, the initial creative director quit in October and we get this kind of show.   Original plan: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17EVayTpig/
    • Japan missed their last shot with hammer in the 10th last night against the Philippines for them to stay alive.  USA's remaining 2 games are against Philippines and Netherlands, so they have a tough road ahead, although they've already beaten Japan, so that helps for tiebreaker purposes.
    • They have already beaten Japan, so a win would them in a strong place.
