DSQ for suits is always a grey area and the unofficial word is that top nation jumpers never get DSQ unless they don't have a chance for a medal anyway. I'd guess someone told the tech delegate (who was a Pole for the women) to play hardball by the rules this time.

Ah yes, the times of Zografski being DQ-ed every 3 races for years, while some people looked like using sheets in their jumps :d

Of course the coaches are shocked, they are so used to having their tricks pass all the time. The problem i have is that they should have had the same standard in the individual competition and layed out beforehand, that things will be stricter.

This suit number is the oldest trick in book. It's not something much different than things in boxing and weightlifting, but because it has the "correct" nations at the top, it's in a cushy spot. Like i said before, don't expect any explanation, facts, what happened, in tradition with Sepp Gratzer's 26 year inspection in locked rooms.

All DSQ were for women. The men are safe :p

Kinda best podium of the entire games. This sport really doesn't offer much medal changes outside of the big nations.

I hope :RUS and :CAN enjoy their five minutes in the sun :)

Actually Russia with the new complexes in Nizhny-Tagil, Chaikovski and Sochi (if they still use those lol) are showing a good improvement. Their results here, if generally unexpected are not that big of a shock. The men are doing points in the regular WC more often this season. I could see them garnering a middle of the pack position ala Slovenia or Japan in a few years.

Apparently the coaches were the ones that pressed the polish girl to be more strict with the control of the girls. This is why so many DSQ

Well that is her job, don't know why it needs to be pressured. You either follow the rules or you don't.

That being said, we all know that everyone tries to cheat with the suits and just as many times people close their eyes about it. It's an old tradition.

Kriznar & Bogataj well over 100m in trial round. This could be a :SLO duel for gold. Althaus still the safest best for the last medal IMO.

I'm all in for Slovenia, but still can't knock off that feeling of Takanashi and ski-jumping. I'm still programed of her winning everything for 7 years. :d
