Ferrand-Prevot will feel more at home (literally) in the Paris conditions, but I think we'll be seeing a very exciting and close mtb race! With also Rissveds, Keller, Lecomte present.

Canucks with a 4-3 win over the Oilers to take game three, and a 2-1 series lead! Pretty horrific 3rd period, in terms of the total number of shots, recording 3 compared to the Oilers 21. Story of the entire playoffs for the Canucks, we’ve been struggling with it, through 8 playoff games (not including this one) we’ve recorded the 2nd least amount of shots in history.

Yeah, Sjoestroem has 6 times which are quicker than any other active swimmer in the 50 free. Cam, as great as he is, isn't even the fastest on paper if Dressel qualifies. It would be much more of a shock if Sarah lost than if Cam did. That's true of many of the other strong Aussie gold chances on the men's side. As great as they are, they are often matched by a couple of other greats - the 100 free has Pan and Popovici, the 200m breast has Qin, the 400m free has Lukas Martens, the 4x100m free has the USA. And so on. Obviously the Aussie men are absolutely still gold medal threats. But the women's side has more "nailed on" Aussie favourites for me.

weightlifting is really lucky to be still included in the Olympic program with all the scandals (doping, administrative crimes and much more) they've been part of, having still 5 weight classes for both men and women (and 3 lifter per gender also to Nations that have been caught with their hands in the marmelade of doping more than once) is a blessing and looking at what's happening these days, also with this new leaders, nothing has changed...it's only a question of "when", not "if" weightlifting will be scratched by the IOC
