  1. I called you pessimistic on another topic but here you're too far optimistic. His rejection rate was huge and is decreasing by the day, the same way his voting numbers are increasing (according to polls, he has more than 40% of valid votes in first round). I don't think he'll win this Sunday (although there is a possibility), but I think no one can stop him three weeks from now.
  2. Also, on a topic regarding this forum, he is the only major candidate that doesn't include sports in his political program. We know brazilian athletes already suffer as it is, if he wins we can kiss goodbye the investments made in this area.
  3. Extremely disheartening to see this here. This man is the worst thing that could ever happen to Brazil - if you guys think Trump is unreasonable sometimes, you should see this person talk for 5 minutes. I fear for my friends in case he's elected (which is very much the most likely scenario right now). Also, it's a little ironic that you're (apparently) supporting an extremist when you have said plenty of times that extremism is bad in any form. I guess that only works for the far-left then?
  4. You're so pessimistic lol From the images I see, most of the venues look good, even beautiful! In some cases the city does all the work . Also, the opening ceremony was a great idea for this particular event and I'm sad I won't be able to be there (that's why I'm also sad about the closing ceremony not being held, but it isn't a great loss). Anyway, I have good expectations for the one week I'm gonna stay in BA.
  5. Brazil team at the Rio Olympic Park. Good luck to our athletes Our flagbearer will be the grandson of Servílio de Oliveira, first brazilian Olympic medallist in Boxing.
  6. Qualification event for the 2019 Pan American Games. 4 slots as follows:
  7. Brazil's score in the 5 Hoops final was the biggest ever by a pan american nation
  8. I still think Brazil has one chance do qualify female athletes because they didn't participate at the South American Games. So they probably chose this and the "PABCON Champion of Champions" as qualifying competitions
  9. Para quem estiver interessado nos Jogos Olímpicos da Juventude, o SporTV 3 terá programação diária dedicada a diversos eventos (em especial aqueles que têm participação dos brasileiros).
  10. Nice! I think Brazil can have great results in winter para sports in the future.

  13. @intoronto and @mrv86 do you guys know the qualifiers in Surfing from the ISA World Games?
  14. Apparently a brazilian athlete broke the pan american record in bowling among women and men
  15. Well, I thought you were talking about the course itself. About the crowd of course I agree, although I don't think huge stands were necessary (it would be depressing to see them empty lol)
  16. I also thought Mexico was gonna win this, easily. I guess Argentina has a good chance to be in the next round now.
  17. After a difficult first set, 15-0 partial for Brazil vs Puerto Rico in third set

  20. 5-8 medals I'm gonna say that medals in Athletics, Beach Volleyball and Swimming are very possible. Maybe we have a outside chance in Gymnastics with our male athlete and combat sports due to low number of entries in some categories (?).
  21. lol no. The difference between olympics and now is that in the Olympics there were huge temporary stands at the side of the venue (which I guess weren't necessary for this) and some banners with Rio 2016 logo. BTW, most of the brazilian athletes have trained for months there, which explains some good results here (compared to previous championships).
  22. USA isn't even pretending anymore lol
