  4. hey @Simo & @freddy duquesne nice to see you! we don't have active users from and here yet! ;-)
  5. Surely I know what you mean. And you are probably right. No, you are 100% right. But, you know, it is just human thing. We're not perfect. That's quite understandable that we are so worried about this war here in Poland and Cenral / Eastern Europe (however you wanna call it) just because it is so close and it affects people we know in person. I know many Ukrainians, believe me. And also Lithuanians, Estonians, so that's how it is. I know it shouldn't be like that, but what can I say... Belarus and Russia are basically one country now. I had Ukrainian people at home, now they are safe in UK. I put them on that plane. A lot of happened and a lot of is gonna happen... Welcome to The Hard Times.
  6. Agree. This war will not end before the next US President elections, I'm afraid. But there may be some kind of ceasefire shortly before Paris Games... and after the olympics, the war may be there again... We will see Macron sitting at this loooooong table in Moscow some time in the spring 2024 I think...
  7. that would be very very sad, if everyone's in and only Ukraine is out of it.
  8. First poll of Day 2 in Paris. Enjoy! Waiting for your comments. Is there anyone you would add as "any other" option?
  9. These are olympic champions in certain events. Imagine that all these champions are on the top of their game at the very same moment in time. Who would have won gold?
  10. It’s not possible. but if you want, you can vote for one athlete and write about other athletes in the comments. It will be very helpful when there is a tie in the voting.
  11. Polish TVP Sport app is useful sometimes as well
  12. thanks !!! which national TV apps you recommend???
  13. Team spirit here is long gone, i’m afraid
  14. You said YES. i think YES but if it is me to decide i would say NO in today’s circumstances i wonder what would have to happen that would make me change my mind before June 2024
  15. Thanks! next poll in this series will be here this week. We will start day 2 in Paris and this one will be all about swimming! We are waiting for your votes 😉👍
  16. Any recommendations for sports apps? anything out of the mainstream but very useful?
  17. @phelps first Italian gold for Rossella Fiamingo. What you think? I mean, I know it's too early to say, but anyway... possible??? @kungshamra71 first gold for POR. What you think? Is it possible? Is he known and popular in POR? Will he get Page 1 Photo if he wins this thing???

  21. Last poll of day 1 is done & dusted. Thanks for voting and for COMMENTING!!! JUDO - W -48kg 1. Natsumi Tsunoda JPN 2. Shirine Boukli FRA 3. Julia Figueroa ESP (T) 3. Abiba Abuzhakynova KAZ (T) No medal for Funa Tonaki JPN due to 1 athlete per NOC rule. Silver for Boukli as "any other" option. First medal for the hosts in our polls here. JUDO - M -60kg 1. Naohisa Takato JPN 2. Yang Yung-wei TPE 3. Enkhtaivany Ariunbold MGL 3. Giorgi Sardalashvili GEO FENCING - W Epee Individual 1. Rossella Fiamingo ITA 2. Marie-Florence Candassamy FRA (T) 3. Choi In-jeong KOR (T) Second silver for FRA. And first win for ITA. FENCING - M Sabre Individual 1. Aron Szilagyi HUN 2. Maxime Pianfetti FRA 3. Colin Heathcock USA (T) Third final in-a-row lost by FRA on day 1. I think this is very unlikely. I mean, if FRA athletes advance to 3 finals on day 1 in combat sports, I think at least one of them will win gold. But it's also very possible that 3 medals for FRA on day 1 is too much, not gonna happen. Bronze for the New Kid On The Block. SKATEBOARDING - M Street 1. Gustavo Ribeiro POR (T) 2. Nyjah Huston USA (T) 3. Mauro Iglesias ARG (T) So that's it for day 1, that was fun. No gold for FRA though And no medal for POL... But looking at this schedule I think any medal for POL on day 1 would be a bit surprise for me. Biggest chances: W Epee Individual and Shooting Rifle Mixed Team imo Thanks again I know it's too early to vote, but it's just for fun. A joke, you know.
  22. As this year will be pretty demanding at our work, we have decided to take a few days off to begin to charge our batteries. Next vacation in June then. So: Egypt, welcome to!
