  1. Iga Świątek and Łukasz Kubot will join forces to play Mixed doubles in AO. A rehearsal before the two playing together in Tokyo Olympics.
  2. and here's another one of my fav Czech olympic moments Ales Valenta gold in 2002 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoBnRCeM_5o
  3. @Hipooo thank you for these videos! Never watched Ledecka race with Czech commentary :-) that's great. I haven't heard Spotakova story about Soviet occupation anniversary before, either. And this 30km Torino race was great gold for Katerina Neumannova greeted by her kid at the finish, but also first olympic medal for Justyna Kowalczyk, who DNF 10 km race few days earlier (because she fainted, they say) but in 30km she came back strongly. It turns out - what a-moment that was for both of us.
  4. Probably my favourite olympic moment ever. The biggest olympic sports emotions for me ever. https://youtu.be/h-yrG0deqB8 M high jump final, Atlanta 1996 First, Artur Partyka jumps 237 with such an enormous clearance Then, Charles Austin jumps 239 Although only Silver, this is my fav Polish olympic medal in history. That contest was really something, nothing has been better than that so far.
  5. No live points table after every match? I take part in such a contest for the first time SO i dont know how IT works
  6. I think Tokyo may not be organized this year due to safety and health reasons, (although I really would like it to happen myself) - and then, Tokyo should be awarded 2032 summer games without biding competition, if Japan would like to hold it in 2032. That is obviously my personal opinion and some of you may not agree, it;s alright for me.
  7. New topic. If Tokyo happens, and if you have a chance to be there, and if you are a milionaire and can buy every ticket you want, where would you be on particular days and why? Remember, you - usually - cannot be in 2 places in the same time. And you must have enough time to move from one location to another, using your beautiful limo ;-) New topic just for fun, because: 1. Tokyo will likely happen in 2032 - I don't see more than 50/50 chances it wil happen this year. 2. We are not milionaires, aren't we? 3. Normally, before covid, it is relatively easy to get to the olympics, but to get tickets you want and to be in THE GOLDEN CIRCLE - well... that's a different story. My early thoughts for first days. (Subject to change). Day - 2 Wed 21/07/2021 9.00-17.00 SOFTBALL - Women Games, AUS vs JPN, ITA vs USA, MEX vs CAN - Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium Because: 1. I never watched softball live before, 2. staging opening event of the entire games in Fukushima is very important for Japanese people because of obvious reasons, 3. I'm not really interested in women's football. 21.00-??? Party in Tokyo best places. Day - 1 Thu 22/07/2021 ???-13.00 Resting after yesterday's party in my hotel bed ;-) 17.00-22.00 FOOTBALL - Men's First Round - 2 Matches - Tokyo Stadium Teams unknown yet, but I want to see the stadium 23.30-??? Party in Tokyo best places. Day 0 Fri 23/07/2021 ???-13.00 Sleeping 20.00-23.00 OPENING CEREMONY!!! Because I love parade of nations. I really do. That is strange, I know that, but I really do. Day 1 Sat 24/07/2021 ???-18.15 CYCLING ROAD - Men's Road Race - I would like to be either at Fuji International Speedway or at Kagosaka Pass (14 km to go, probably the deciding moment) Because I love road cycling very much (if it's not Katowice downhill sprint at Tour de Pologne) and road race is the blue ribbon event on day 1 for me 19.40-23.30, but maybe even later on - VOLLEYBALL - Men's Preliminary Round - POL vs IRI and USA vs FRA - Ariake Arena Because M volleyball team would probably be the only POL team in team sports in Tokyo, But - I am afraid even my limo may be not fast enough to get to Ariake Arena from road race route on time. But if they play 5 sets, I would watch the tie-break and then USA vs FRA Day 2 Sun 25/07/2021 10.30-12.20 SWIMMING - Tokyo Aquatics Centre - Men's 400m Individual Medley Final Women's 100m Butterfly Semifinals Men's 400m Freestyle Final Men's 400m Individual Medley Victory Ceremony Women's 400m Individual Medley Final Men's 400m Freestyle Victory Ceremony Men's 100m Breaststroke Semifinals Women's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay Final Women's 400m Individual Medley Victory Ceremony Women's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay Victory Ceremony Because THIS IS SWIMMING!!! First finals. Cannot be missed. ???-??? Some decent Japanese streetfood 17.00-19.40 JUDO - Nippon Budokan Women -52 kg Repechage Women -52 kg Semifinals Men -66 kg Repechage Men -66 kg Semifinals Women -52 kg Contests for Bronze Medal Women -52 kg Final Men -66 kg Contests for Bronze Medal Men -66 kg Final Women -52 kg Victory Ceremony Men -66 kg Victory Ceremony Because watching judo finals in Tokyo would be sth special, even if no POL medal contenders 21.00-23.00 BASKETBALL - Men's Preliminary Round - Saitama Super Arena Teams unknown yet, rather not USA at this hour, because it is bad for NBC scheduling, USA will rather play before noon Japanese Time. But, man, this is men's basketball at the olympics. Maybe I will see Greece or Lithuania here ;-) But problems again - will it be enough time to move from Nippon Budokan to Saitama? And there will be only one match here. ... Nobody will read this sh*t probably, I know, but if you want to join my fav thread again, you're welcome. Stay healthy!

  9. I thought Ryan Lochte was the dumbest swimmer ever. Turned out he wasn't. https://nyti.ms/39ocr2h
  10. My source inside tvp sport says they will show PL matches and maybe final either in tvp sport tv or on sport.tvp.pl online. We will see if that is true.
  11. Where will you watch the games In Poland only PL matches will be shown on tv TVP sport probably Or on sport.tvp.pl website Maybe final too I wonder whether there will be live games on YouTube via ihf Channel. I remember i watched games this way previously
  12. No, it shouldn't. Because in 2024 we all meet in Paris. If the pandemics are over, which is not certain at all. I would give Tokyo a 2032 games without any new bids and competition. If they would be interested to host it. But it would be very unfair to take the games from Paris Because all this covid mess is not a French fault. Unless French say we don't want the 2024 games ourselves. But I don't See it happen.

  15. I hope that in Paris 2024 we will not see first medals for Russian-Belarussian Federation Combo NOC heh
  16. Oh, I forgot BUR, too. Although I predicted him for a bronze a few days ago, instead of Will Claye.
  17. and i think there will be a first medal for "Olympic Athletes from a Country Which Name Cannot Be Officially Mentioned in Tokyo, But We IOC Members Really Liked To Party Hard In The Nights In Sochi. So Hard That We Didn't Care If The Urine Samples Were Safe Or Not" Team I guess, That was a tricky question hah
  18. That would be nice. But I would even try to go further and try to prepare potential start lists in ALL events in ALL sports. But it would be a loooooot of work and my closest vacation is early March.
  19. I agree with you, although I don't believe in LCA medal in W high jump. 1 % chance I think. There is too high level of competition in W HJ now with all the UKR and RUS jumpers. I would add Bangladesh in archery. This is the most populated country who hasn't got one single medal yet.
  20. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-time_Olympic_Games_medal_table#List_of_NOCs_without_medals this is a list of NOCs without summer olympics medal yet which one of them is more likely to get its first medal in Tokyo, what do you think? and in which event? who would win it?
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swimming_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics_–_Qualification this page might be useful when you want to check who might have qualified but all of you obviously know it already, I guess
  22. But the Qualifying Times in the Qualifying period were achieved by following Polish swimmers: Men Paweł Juraszek - 50 free Wojciech Wojdak - 800 free Radosław Kawęcki - 200 back Michał Poprawa - 200 fly Women Katarzyna Wasick - 50 free And we have a few relays qualifed, because they were in Top 12 World Champs 2019 M 4x100 free W 4x100 free M 4x200 free W 4x200 free Mixed 4x100 medley
  23. Poland has no confirmed athletes in swimming yet, I guess.
