I think Naomi Osaka JPN will have gold in singles, if she can handle the pressure which will be enormous. And Czech Republic pair in women's doubles. Does Kristina Mladenovic have a second good French player who could join her in doubles in Tokyo? Did she play any tournaments or Cup matches together with other French player?

I think Iga Świątek will medal either in singles or in mixed doubles with Łukasz Kubot ;-) I strongly believe it. But it will be hard because clay suits her better. And there will be hard courts in Tokyo. But Paris 2024 at Roland Garros - that may be her biggest chance for gold in singles.

Day 1 Sat 05/02/2022 First medals: SPEED SKATING - W 3000m SHORT TRACK - Mixed Gender Relay SKI JUMPING - W Individual NH CROSS-COUNTRY - W 7.5km + 7.5km Skiathlon BIATHLON - Mixed Relay FREESTYLE SKIING - M Moguls No ideas yet, I need 2 hours to think and make some google searching ;-) But I will try to make predicts here not only incuding factors like: previous achievements / age / NOC COVID problems / today's form etc. I WILL DEFINITELY INCLUDE A VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR WHICH IS: WHETHER I LIKE SOMEBODY THE MOST ;-) WHETHER I CHEER SOMEBODY ON, WHETHER I AM A FAN. This last factor will be sth like 25% of my predicts results. 25% - am I a fan or not, 75% - all the rest factors mentioned before. I will do it this way because....... .... this is just for fun, isn't it? I would like to come to day 16 before the first winter sports 2021 world champs start. One more thing. This last ranking is not wrong. Because it is maths only. The swimmers are ranked by their best LC times achieved in the qualifying period. This is not my ranking for medal predictions. This is some data to begin with, and then use it to make the most accurate prediction for summer. So Seto, Litherland and Litchfield have 3 best OQT so far. And if they participate, they will swim in lane 4 in their respective heats. If someone does not get better time until the end of quali period. But my medal prediction for M 400 IM is still 1. Seto 2. Hagino 3. Papastamos. Although your tip with Borodin is very interesting. So I will reconsider the bronze medal option.

My Top Ten wishes for tokyo: 1. It will actually happen. 2. Everyone stays healthy. 3. I will have days off-work to watch it calmly. 4. My tv and wi-fi will work well. 5. A lot of tense competitions. I prefer more events with many medal contenders than a few dominant persons who win their events by a lot. 6. Medal surprises. 7. Poland with at least 4 golds and 16 totals. It will be hard to achieve but "we" keep trying. 8. A medal for Maria Lasitskene. 9. Great swimming semis and final races in the middle of the night CET. 10. Men's Volleyball final - US vs PL - let the better team win!
