  1. "She isn't ready for it yet and wants to keep training longer", is the explanation
  2. Hmm, my dad started about this movie last week. Maybe I should take his suggestion and finally watch that first Top Gun movie, although I've postponed that for the past 15 years or so since it just seems so totally not my thing Almost starting to get curious now though.
  3. Ugh. You work for your club to get paid, you play for your national team because you want to represent your country... If you do it for the money, fine, they can find someone who is actually willing to play for their country
  4. Exactly, so what If the internet were to believed, half the country would lynch you if you dare eat something Italians like but in a bit different way, because don't you freaking dare eat things the way you like it
  5. And because if you'd put Italy lower than 1st, they'd start a war, so better to just keep them happy and say "sure yours is the best"
  6. Exactly. But a lot of people in the Netherlands also say Nutella when they actually mean 'chocoladepasta' (chocolate paste). That's something different, and much better than Nutella Plus I can't care less that the Netherlands isn't on it, people eat the things they like anyway, who cares if it's some national invention or not
  7. Mountainbike is absolutely huge in Brazil...
  8. Those damn Western countries, that's why Greece and Romania and Japan and India and China and Brazil and Indonesia and Bulgaria and Turkey and the Phillippines are in the top-20
  9. For a moment I thought that the gazillion events in swimming made me completely forget this guy after last year's Olympics and that's why I'd never heard of him, but he wasn't at the Olympics, so that explains that
  10. Well that was an expected anti-climax But yeah, media have their four times a year thingy about most titles, greatest ever and all that nonsense ready so that's fine
  11. Aleix Espargaro celebrated his 2nd place in the Catalan GP....only to realize there was still a lap to go (he finished 5th) Wow.
  12. Not Delfina Pignatiello, because she does have one
  13. Good thing tomorrow is a free day (with the FBK Games in Hengelo as well)
  14. Quite a day today. In the EWC, the 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps starts at 13:00, while for the first time since 2019 we're racing at the Isle of Man After a week full of qualifying, today we start at 13:00 (CET) with the first Superbike race, followed by the first Sidecar race at 16:00 (CET). The Superbike race is going to be a matter of seeing whether or not Peter Hickman either makes a mistake or has a mechanical issue, otherwise he'll win. Dean Harrison and Davey Todd are ready to pick it up if he drops the ball, with Conor Cummins, Michael Dunlop and John McGuiness - among others - needing all three of the favourites to meet with some kind of misfortune. The sidecar race is going to be a dominant show by the Birchall's, unless their bike breaks.
  15. Louis Meintjes won the Giro dell'Appennino....with an attack What's happening on earth? https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/giro-del-appennino/2022/result And cool 19th place in his comeback race for 50 year old Davide Rebellin
  16. This is so much not my thing
  17. After a virtual waiting line of over 100.000 people, my dad and I just booked our tickets for Bruce Springsteen in Landgraaf (NED) next year Fifth real show I'm going to, fourth time it's The Boss
  18. That's what we have the Eurosport Player for Watch it later and you can easily skip through the 0-0's and 15-15's and their theatrics, I just watched the first one and a half set in barely 10 minutes
  19. That race was quite something. Long ago since I've seen four drivers in the fight for the win so deep in the race (apart from a last lap safety car or so). I know it's Monaco and so not a lot of overtaking chances, but there was a non-stop tension whether or not one of them would end up making a crucial mistake.
  20. That bold text seems pretty fair, at least if this whole thing doesn't take 5 years or something. Just like for example in biathlon, them not participating next season shouldn't mean that when they are allowed back, they can only have 1 World Cup quota or something. But yeah, very curious what this means for the Olympic qualification situation...I guess we'll see. You know, like a week before the Olympics
  21. It's always weird to see France having so much troubles with events like this, whereas the Tour de France usually is organized so well it makes the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España look like local amateur races Do they put all their semi-good organizers in ASO and the rest is just someone's random uncle who needed something to do?
  22. But it's a match between greats, how can you miss that!
  23. Oh absolutely, it seems to be organized terribly But a large part of the blame does remain with people who have no ticket, but still jump over fences and whatnot to get in. Those people, who pretend to support team X even though they know their actions will get team X in trouble, are the root cause for problems
  24. And if they make entrance available to everyone, you won't have to deal with people like these brainless Liverpool morons who try to get in without a ticket I do assume those people will be photographed and ID'd to make sure they don't get into any stadium anywhere for a good while
