  1. I mean come on, Carlie Kaufman?
  2. I am going to hope there isn't more to this than I think. I am fairly certain there are two Coen brothers involved in the making of movies, although I have no idea whatsoever as to what their first names are. Then again, the simple fact that Cohen minus 'h' makes Coen, which is a name I think is involved in making movies, is too much to overlook for me, the other options just seem like grasping at straws if I'd go for them. I'm going for A, Joel Cohen.
  3. Ah, and sodium is apparently natrium in Dutch, that sounds more familiar indeed.
  4. Kalium, I knew it! As soon as I saw the K, I thought "kalium!", and then was disappointed that was not one of the answers
  5. Hold on, I'm quickly going to get some light in here...
  6. It really makes it significantly harder in the case of this specific question that it's in English. Especially potassium is entirely different in Dutch, but I do believe that might be the right one. I vaguely remember the single K element not starting with a K, but that doesn't really help a whole lot in this case. I can't really remember the other three, but still I have a hunch potassium is the one that's got a K in the periodic table. I'd say chromium and zirconium have a symbol which makes more sense (from their English names of course), sodium probably doesn't, but still I am going for C, potassium.
  7. Shouldn't have brought up my story about The Major, she'll definitely mess with my lights if I get this wrong...
  8. If C and D had been removed, I'd have been certain it was A Oh well, certain enough now
  9. Well, unfortunately the one I was most certain about as being wrong (B) has been removed, so that still makes it hard...I'm not sure there is a term for being obsessed with relaxing noises and there definitely are terms for people obsessed with everything Japanese, so I'm going for A, Japanese culture.
  10. Ouch, this is a seriously tough one. There is one answer of which I'm at least 70% certain it's wrong, but that's not enough...I'd like a 50:50.
  11. Real Madrid is obviously not playing it's home games in Barcelona, that'd be weird. Sporting isn't even Spanish, so them playing their home games in Barcelona would be even weirder! There might be other Athletic's, but the one I know of is Athletic de Bilbao, and if there's one thing I know about Bilbao, it's that it isn't Barcelona. C, Espanyol it is, which I am going to assume is the anti-independence enemy of the Catalans of Barcelona.
  12. Ha, only when seeing answer D did I realize these might not all be real names! Julius doesn't really sound like a 17th century British name, Dominic Gammon doesn't ring a bell in the slightest. I think I've heard Francis Bacon be mentioned in the 'Stuff You Missed In History' podcast, but I might be wrong. Still, I am going for B, Francis Bacon, at the risk of looking like a complete fool for possibly choosing a meaty yet fake name.
  13. And with that, the 20 minute video with background music has already ended
  14. Joe Diden, Donald Nrump, Barack Obama, George Sush....I mean, one fits, but that's about it. I don't recall Nauru winning a FIFA World Cup recently, whereas I don't know the names of many Shakespeare plays at all. B it is, months of the year!
  15. That's actually a bit of a tricky one! Chauffeuring people around on Fridays only might make one end up with a small lack of experience, but surely a steady once a week drive is enough to be alright. A Wednesday coachman...hello, it's 2021. I am a tiny bit doubting between A and D. I'm going for D though: I see how the people go to church on Sunday here and they drive like absolute whack jobs, you risk your life by getting in their way! D, Sunday driver.
  16. In Dutch schools, notes go from 1 to 10, including in the final exam which decides whether you pass the 'middle' school (sort of like high school I guess) and then can go on to a university, college, some other form of next education or whatever. Anyhow, I bombed two subjects in my final year exams, maths and chemistry. You can retake one, with my options being as follows: retake chemistry and get it from a 4.x to a 5.4 or higher, or retake maths and get it from a 2.x (!) to a 4.something. This should tell you enough about my mathematical knowledge. Circles have interesting mathematical capabilities and I'm sure triangles and rectangles do too, if one were too understand maths, which I don't. I am going for C, square root!
  17. Interesting question to start off with. Of course a nowegian is nonsense and an iclandic will only help if you're going for long distances, as we all know. One might be able to pull off a great sprint if you've got that extra.....dnish though... Nonetheless, I am going for B, finish.
  18. Three lifelines but I will use '4' as lucky number
  19. I can do said stuff after the quiz
  20. Me me me That is Dutch for 'confirm'
  21. Is a bit of a delay an option for you? Not too much, but I'd like to get some small things out of the way before I'm all focused (and turn my office back into my bedroom )
