  9. once again, poor outing by the Italians... our Sabre specialists are definitely in big, big troubles...they just lost the touch...and especially the men's sabre in past few years has been our best weapon at youth level, but all the guys haven't completed a good transition to the senior ranks yet (if they ever gonna do it)

  14. I should check...if there are 2 French women already qualified, then, yes, there will be 2 spots and not only 1 in such case, both Stankewicz and Meszaros are quite safe, even if not yet mathematically in
  15. in the meantime, in the men's event Davide Di Veroli lost again in the early rounds (today it was the last 32, against Frazao) this is really, really worrying in perspective both for the individual competition and, above all, for the team event, where we must absolutely shut the French up on their Home soil next Summer
  16. Epee Grand Prix ( Cali) women's quarterfinals Federica Isola vs Nelli Differt Chen Chen vs Auriane Mallo-Breton Nathalie Moellhausen vs Erika Kirpu Giulia Rizzi vs Isabel Di Tella now...try and let Rizzi out of the Olympic team, if you can on the other hand, Fiamingo and Isola Today were the best among the other Italians, which might keep the Olympic selection wide open (imho they shouldn't be named in the Olympic team, but it won't be easy to leave Fiamingo out, despite this year's results suggest that)
  17. she's still in the fight with Eszter Meszaros, who's only 7 points behind her
  18. 15th place, 0.8 points outside the last qualifying score
  19. theoretically...but find another 2nd tier relay that can run 42.13 or better
  20. well, there's always a world title at stake, moreover there's an interesting prize money and they're fundamental for the Olympic races' seeding (which might be the difference between making the final or not) I wouldn't say that they're irrelevant
  21. they just gave preference to the "traditional" relays (and I agree at 100% with the coaches) then, they filled this team with the remaining guys (perfect strategy...and in fact we did qualify both the men and women's "true" 4*400m teams)
  22. however, frankly I'd prefer to be eliminated from this circus event (it would only take energy off the guys involved before their individual effort -for those who have one- or before their "main" relay) p.s. I'm really worried about the women's 4*100m...I hope they can qualify Today, because otherwise they would be really at risk with the recovery time
  23. women's 10m Air Rifle shooters qualified to the Final Han Jiayu Oceanne Muller Misaki Nobata Wang Zifei Keum Ji Hyeon Mary Carolynn Tucker Roxana Sidi Seonaid McIntosh
