    I am surprised at nirmala as she seems to have come from nowhere and I think she is in her mid thirties, would have liked pooja gehlot or seema to have qualified........ Sonam I think deserves her chance, she is young and will only improve, she has dominated the cadets . .... And sakshi has not been good form Anshu again is young and deserves her place...... She will have a tough time preserving her place with pooja danda and mansi being very good wrestlers

    Good selection trials in boxing I feel the teams are the best we could have hoped for Mary kom ... 51 Sakshi 57 Simranjit - 60 Lovlina 69 Pooja....... 75 I am happy that sarita got defeated in the 60 because she has not done anything in the global arena at all...... I think sakshi is a really fast boxer and has age on her side, lovlina , Mary and pooja to some extent select Themselves

    Interesting to see at the current point ( india would qualify bhawani devi in sabre women and may have a qualifier in epee women in the Asian qualifier with kabitha........

    For men I do not see why you feel we cannot beat romania ...... Last time we met them at the world team championship if I remember right we did beat them 3-1 ... Unless their quality has improved I believe we can beat them again

    Yes the 50m short course record is normally couple of seconds less than long course in the shorter races and that difference only becomes more in the longer races......... So without taking anything away from srihari or virdhawal...... I do not consider this any marked improvement

    Also in the race to tokyo badminton ranking..... Good improvement by kidambi and saurabh...... I feel fairly confident that one of kidambi, saurabh , prannoy or kashyap will join sai in male singles....... Saina needs a period of rest to get completely fit..... But time for her is running out and she would 3-4 good results to bring her back
