Just look at what is happening to Italy..... Now with 1 in a thousand people infected and 1 in 10000 dead...... The lock down just doesnot seem working...... The cases are still spiking with over 6000 fresh cases, everyday at this rate we could have in a few weeks 1 in a 100 people infected and 1 in 1000 dead...... That is coming close to the catastrophic worst case scenario....

Well..... I have seen a few videos of the same type on social media myself..... My view point...... 1. India is a huge country..... There are millions of police officers on the field .... On the whole the lockdown has seen no violence, looting or even much of arguments The police on the average have been doing the duty well..... There are equally hundreds of videos of the police distributing food etc 2. Indian population on the whole are not a rule abiding group.... Contextually we do not know what the context of that video was, it may be the people were arguing or even abusing him..... 3. But it can be said There are some bad apples definitely among the Indian police.........and that they need to be sensitized to deal with the populance better goes without saying

This is the hypothetical situation of where we can go in India..........a crore by the way is 10 million

India crosses 100 for the first time ?..... Everybody is scared what can happen here..... The Indian cities are one crowded place and in some shanties we have 4-6 to a room. Especially where migrant workers are put up...... If corona establishes itself our numbers can spike....... On the positive side more test kits are made available and some private labs are been given the license to run the tests.......

2 weeks from lockdown...... Italy shows slight signs of the virus abating ....... Is it coming down from a peak of 6000 to 5000...... Well in the next two three days if it comes below 4000 ....... We can say the lockdown worked partly... But if it stays above 5000 ... I do not think you can lockdown a country for longer than a month.? I think all of us out there are waiting for this number???? ¿

What about ration shops are they open because govt has promised that they will be open???

In India.... Our lockdown allows us to go to stores within a 3 Km distance and groceries and medical stores are open...... I think the people who are facing problems are migrant worker community ....... I hope things are ok with them

Yes seems a decent drop in new cases...... Very positive if there is a downward trend for the next 3-4 days......... But scary when we see 650 deaths and see that as good.....

I think Indian approach is 1. Do a stringent control at entry points.... . We stopped entry of foreigners very fast . I think we introduced all visa entry stop as soon as possible : almalmost two weeks ago Testing at least temperature and quarantine of visitors also 2. Test and check all contacts of any case as fast as possible 3. Do social distancing to the best of ability -ves There are some stupidos propagating cow urine etc.... But this is an aberration Indians hate govt agencies so a few lied and tried to enter..... But luckily this is less now God knows what will happen

Postpone.... I think planning for 2021 a little late September..... Most of the postponed qualifiers can be completed in 2 months..... We lost two Olympics due to ww2..... So one being postponed by a year is not the biggest loss for Olympic sport

Decent analysis..... I think in boxing I would add Manish and Gaurav to the possible mens boxers without changing the total possibilities as 2:1;..... I think in wrestling deepak punia should be added to the possible medallists but keep the total as 2:1 Same in women added divya karan and ashu to the possible medallists but keep the total to 2:1 ..... I think Taekwondo and canoeing are sports where we have started to get Asian level medals in the last couple of years albeit in non Olympic categories.... I think we can improve further In canoeing Gaurav tomar and Namita Chandel are doing well, I think C-2 ( gaurav with salam) may be a good bet for us with some improvement Latika and Naveen have medalled at the Asian level..... Latika had been a top 25 in the world taekwondo athelete ( in 53 a non Olympic category and a top 50 athelete in 57) .Rudali is also doing well .. I feel that if we improve further we can get a top 25 player in an Olympic category in which case we should have a quota place......
