Ae was also in great form Sachin has a decent chance to get through the play offs the others are not so great.... Amit, Mary and Manish I hope along with at least one of the other girls should get thru...... Amits opening bout was a disaster but possibly he had problems meeting weight and looked drained..... Hopefully should be back in good form today...

Well..... Whatever CHN is doing seems working.they are getting less than 50 cases Also South Korea also seems to be reducing cases ..... Italy had announced a quarantine lockdown for northern Italy : hope it works , high time and possibly can bring new cases down........ I think if IRI can push the cases down..... We may see a reduction of corona..... Currently 2/3 of the cases are just in two countries..... I think if airport testing and push for rapid testing of chain of infection cases works for the other countries we can really get control

KAZ and UZB have been the top two boxing nations globally in mens for the last few years ….. so it is not suprising they have mostly made it to the top 4 here …... I think KAZ seems to be close to having a perfect mens tournament till now and possibly all 8 may qualify , UZB has already surprisingly lost 2 already and could have just 5 out of 8 into semis , china have never been too good at mens ( they have dominated the womens )... they may just end up with 2-3 in the semis

well essentially each judge scores on 1) no of reasonably strong blows in the target area 2) Technical and Tactical superiority …… The first is reasonably objective but the second is somewhat subjective ( the amateur preference is for the typical Cuban dance style - Light on feet , quick hands, movement of head ) there can be deductions for technical infringements ……. In the Mousavi Vs Taglatihan fight …… I think it was a reasonably even fight on punches scored Mousavi won rd 1 and Rd 2 , Taglathian rd 3...…. but technically I think the Chinese boxer was superior ….. Mousavi just lunges and then gets into the clinch ( rather than the technical hit and dance back ) ……. I feel the overall fight was really close ….. so not one of those real outright steals we used to see under AIBA and in fact I feel the judging of the Asian qualifiers have been reasonably good till now

Well the first bout was 4-1 for IND.... Which was reasonable..... Maybe just the 10-8 was a bit unreasonable..... I would have given it 10-9 for ashish...... Which was the average in any case

But Ashish really thrashed muskita so good.... This was just so one sided......I think I would have given the bout 30-24 or maybe 30-25 myself......

Have to disagree … Always the best must be sent …. Because they finally will medal if they are the best …………... For example Kavinder Vs Gaurav ….. I think Gaurav is the better boxer …… great flow and clean lines ……. kavinder is over defensive , over uses the shell guard , will never get past a good boxer Gaurav may not have got thru Mirazez but he was close and I am sure will get thru at the world qualifier …….. at the Olympics he is a medal prospect but kavinder even if he got thru here will not be a medal prospect
