  1. Well if the Italian wins the quota in the European shotgun championships...... They will be out but almost surely then it would go to turkey....... So kynan will miss out either way...... So only Anish can get a quota..... He is 11th currently has to shoot better than ukr and should be safe
  2. Good analysis...... Also the highest ranked players in order will be in mixed pairs..... So no leeway...... Likely pairing divyansh-apurvi, x- deepak....... And saurabh-manu and yeshashwini-abhishekh....... The x would be either anjum Or velarivan..... That may go down to the last world Cup......
  3. Since we do not have a quota in mixed, only the shooters who are in the squad ;can be pair events. NRI as to decide who would be the 2 ten metre rifle shooters..... They would be conducting a trial I think it would be apurvi and valairavan...... They would need to exchange chinki yadavs for anjum if she gets dropped from 10M rifle and then anjum could shoot in 3 position and also be part of pairs if required...... Let us see who the shooters in 10M rifle are likely to be.........
  4. This is the 2019 world ranking..... Do check... Possibly you are looking at the general world ranking..... I am using this as the basis as most of the young indian shooters were shooting in the junior section at the world championships
  5. was looking at world shooting rankings for 2019 released today .... This will be the end of the year rankings and gives some picture of how are shooters did in 2019 a great year for Indian shooting ....... Three of our shooters finished at world Number 1 .......a fantastic result for us ..... Divyansh - 10M rifle men Valarivan - 10M Rifle women Saurabh - 10M Pistol I am sure our both rifle and pistol teams also would have finished in the No 1 slot based on overall performances ( though there is no ranking ) ...... So we can say we had 5 of our shooters in world number 1 slot ......China- 2 , US-2 other shooters in the top 10 would are Abhishek -10M pistol - 3rd sanjeev - 50M 3 positions - 9th Apurivi -10M rifle - 2nd Anjum -10Mrifle - 9th Manu -10M pistol - 3rd Yeshashwini - 10M pistol - 5th Rahi - 25M pistol - 6th and quite surely both 10M mixed second pairs we can say we had 14 top 10 performers .........
  6. Any news of sathiyan...... He is playing a legend...... Timo boll
  7. Saurabh reached finals...... Good effort by him
  8. Other than atheletics and swimming which is continuous..... I think TT in third week of Jan........
  9. I understand that there is a team qualification event left....... So if an individual qualifies here and then the country qualifies later .....what happens to the individual quota...... Isn't this very messy
  10. QI think with Indians being part of the gold and silver member teams in both mixed events ... We can say with some justification..... That we would have two more golds today......... So we can say we won 5 golds and dominated the 10m events....... But the 25 and 50M events were a bit disappointing especially 25m pistol not having a finalist...... Rahi i think seemed to have a weapon problem because her score was really abysmal
  11. Wow...... Three golds in 4 events...... Divyansh, Manu, Elavanil........ All under 20 I think........ I was hoping for 6 medals in the world Cup finals ..... Got three...... Possibly in the mixed pairs we can get two I hope but the pairs team may not have any of the gold medalists barring manu
  12. Brilliant shooting..... . A great achievement..... To cross 250 itself is huge
  13. India finally open their account in world Cup final...... Gold by manu in 10M pistol
  14. Yes agree..... The problem with saina is if serious overtraining....... She has a tendency to not rest and as she is aging that is creating serious fitness issues.....
  15. But Let us look at the qualification schedule.... It is ranking at the end of April that is critical..... There are 12 more ranking tournaments of some note left from now to April including the all England open Taking for granted that we will have Sindhu, Sai and chirag- satwik the rest need to be in top 16 ..... I.e a point range of around 50000-55000 to be safe - at least 10 scores in the range of 4500-6500 would bring them there..... Currently if any of the Indians outside qualification range have at least 3-4 such scores they can achieve the range required....... Looking at the current group I feel Srikanth will have 4 scores in that group after the HK open.... Getting 5 -6 more out of 12 is doable....... Satwik- ashwini also have the trajectory they will have I think 5 such scores getting 4_5 out of the remaining 12 is very doable Saina had 3 she has to play well in the syed modi in India and she has too has a chance...... The rest do not seem to have more than 1-2 tournaments in the required range may be very tough.... They will need a streak of 5-6 continuous good performances which is possible but with them being unseeded may meet up with top seeds early which makes this number difficult
  16. I think there are many opinions mentioned on badminton
  17. Will definitely Block the time to watch him..... Unless it clashes with one of our top shooting events ?
  18. woooooooo ................................... looks like they were saving the very best for the very last event and tossed the monkey off their shoulders ................. looks like both have qualified
  19. thats really optimistic ........I think best case situation for India should be One quota ......... but after watching the Indian Shotgun shooters burn out in critical stages , maybe even none .......though that looks really difficult to finish with no quotas
  20. well the sius website is now showing both angad and mairaj in the finals...... if that is correct ......... will not be suprised if they finish 5th and 6th to miraculously miss out on any quota places like kynan did in trap ....or even more agonisingly 4th and 5th just to rub it in
  21. Indian Woes in the shotgun section continue , after Kynans disaster in reaching the final at second place and then shooting a disastrous 19 to crash out last and just miss quota , in mens skeet both mairaj and Angad were well ahead ( 2 and 3th ) , then they both shot identical 22s to fall to to the shoot off 120 score , lets see if any of them survive the shootoff.......... will not be surprised if they fail and we end up with no shotgun shooters at all in the finals ....... and also in tokyo
  22. yes Tomar wins quota place in rifle 3 positions ........ one more youngster pushing the way into the seniors, I think this was his debut this year ?
