Asian boxing qualifiers happening..... Thank god....... India has great chances..... The draws have been reasonably kind..... I feel vikas 69 , Amit 52 , manish 63 , satish 91+ should qualify , also ashish 75 has a good chance...... In women Mary 51 , lovlina69 , pooja 75 have great chance..... Hopefully one of sakshi / simranjit..... So my guess 4-5 /4 qualifiers.....

Currently with corona virus scare..... One if the few Asian events still on..... Brave of JOR to go ahead..... I feel with proper health checkups and quarantine sports teams can be allowed in..... Wonder what precautions JOR is taking

Saddened to see a huge increase of cases of corona virus in Iran...... Already the economy if the country has been hit by the US embargo ........ now this ...... I knew that certain medicines were difficult to get earlier.... Not sure if they are able to get all the medical supplies they need......

While I think the open border between oak and Iran is not a heavily trafficked border..... But Pakistan and china must be having a large number of visitors as china is heavily invested in infrastructure projects in Pakistan...... With still a huge number of new cases being reported in china, allowing flights between china and pak seems very stupid....... I predict pak could become the next new epicenter...

According to the latest directive by the Government of Kyrgyzstan, all the sporting events in the country have been postponed citing the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID 19). The new dates are yet to be released but the event will take place in April (according to the Iranian Wrestling Federation). Travel restrictions are in place in multiple Asian nations to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

I am hoping that out of these 11 in the Olympic category in the top 10 as well 12/13 ranked and then if we add gurpreet / sumit / whoever participates in 62 women as possibles...... We will have 14 possible qualifiers.... I think realistically we can get 10 into the Tokyo Olympics...... ( of course we have 4 so another 6-7 I feel is realistic

Yes...... Kudos to the team of raninder narinder et al to run this event and force the cwg committee to run these events .... We should be having I believe at least 20-25 shooting events as India should add some if our favourite pistol events along with double trap and prone ...... And archery at least 10 events including compound...... Good chance for India to cross 38 gold that they got in 2010 where we finished 2nd ....... As we should start with at least 20 golds!!!!! .......

I think there were many youngsters who did well...... I personally was excited to see gaurav baliyans .... He is a name for the future.... Also sarita more, pinki , anshu did well in women's... Also Divya kakrans performance was really good.... 4 wins by fall including the Japanese... I agree that china not being there made a difference in women but did not effect the men as much......

Asian wrestling championship 2020 - End of a really good tournament ...... Indian wrestling has progressed and this tournament is just proof of it....... I have been following Indian wrestling for the last 15 years and there is clear trend..... 2005- 2015 we used average just 5 medals out if 21-24 events....... 2015 - 2018 - the average went upto 10 medals or so out of 30 events..... 2019 we got 16 medals and 2020 ... And now 20 medals the most by any country..... We came close to winning the team title in both mens freestyle and women's.... And did well in greco....... So there is huge improvement across the board and we do have a set of world beaters... vinesh 53 in women's free Ravi -57 , Bajrang -65 in mens free And a great set of juniors who can become true world beaters Deepak 86 , gaurav in 74 in future, anshu in 57 , divya 68 women and sarita or sonam 62 ... In GR we have some good wrestlers more at the Asian level Gyanender -60 , Sunil -87 , Gurpreet -77 , Ashu -67 ....... So great show .....

Yes poor session for India...... I think deepak was looking really slow and off color not sure why.... He is a better wrestler than was seen today.... Somveer I did not except much and withsumit injured I did not expect much from satendra...... So I think at par.... Jitender I thought was good..... That is a major plus and with gaurav baliyan almost winning the gold in 79 and amit dhankar on the wings.... We will definitely have a good wrestler for 74 ... Aware was struggling a bit and I think a bronze can be done..... No team I think...... But still a huge plus for India at these championships......

I think a good day despite 4 /5 loses in the medal round...... Baliyan in 79 showed why many consider him the person to fill in the 74 slot sooner or later...... Just 18 he almost won the gold he was really close..... I think bajrang seems to play to the Japanese play book but otuguro won well...... Satyawart I felt did not have a chance and showed it...... Tomorrow I feel we can win the team title.... But it would be if deepak can win in 86 I think he can but the main competitor will be Iran and that may be a key fight if we have to win the team title..... Rahul aware has a good chance as well........ A lot will depend on jitender and somveer ...... Unfortunately sumit is injured and do not have much hopes therefore in 125

I think Ravi, Bajrang to win....... Satyswart will most possibly lose and gaurav either way..... Do not know much about naveen so can go either way in the bronze fight.... Hoping to end the day in the lead for the team...... And unlike the women where day two we were faced with the wall of Japanese women who were world leaders..... I think day two we have great prospects expecting both deepak and rahul to win and jitender has a good shot...... So I am keeping my fingers crossed but we may win the team title.....

Want to see Bazri...... Third behind Yazdani and Ghazempour is still a great position..... Also Indian eyeballs may be on gaurav balian .... He has been youngest ever national champion..... So lot of hopes on him...

Well India did better with 8 medals and 3 golds, 2 silvers for our best performance ever in women ever at the Asian level..... Sonam in 62 who missed out on the medals would have considered herself very unlucky to have both kawai and tynybekova in her half......tomorrow freestyle starts and india starts again with our best freestyle team ever......... Would like to see @MHSN predictions ......

Wooooooo....... That is big Mizutani and Mima are one of the top doubles pairs...... Mima is ranked 3rd in the world and Mizutani 15th .............

Yes this is a great day for Indian wrestling.... Tomorrow is going to be very tough.... The Indian team is good we have vinesh in 53 but she is facing maya from Japan in the first round who has been her nemesis both in the world champs and last year's asians, so it will be tough..... Both anshu and sonam are good but really young and to face the kawai sisters ( world no 2 and 3 respectively) will really test them..... Gurshanpreet will need to do well and sakshi has a good chance to win a gold..... India had a chance to win the team gold I hope they can

Agree with you sunil is probably the better of the two : last year I think he had a great final in the Asian championship in 2018 against nouri.....very close bout ... Gurpreet though is currently doing better than sajan.... Defeated him handily at the national trials.... I am not sure why gurpreet was not here...

Just checked there is no final.... Just the round robin and she after winning all 4 has won...... Great performance defeated the Japanese ??
