I mean, sure, you're absolutely dead if you go full speed for 'the first few laps' (which is at least half an hour or so), but sure, great tactic  
 
Also, because of these bikes, you don't lose any speed on climbs and obstacles, apparently. Magic  

If road cycling is team sport, explain gold medal of Carapaz and Kiesenhofer beeing single athlets.

Back when I was collecting info for team sizes/selections, I read from the Austrian NOC page that Anna Kiesenhofer got selected after winning Olympic trials at some mountainous course. I was like: "Austria has Olympic trials for the women's road race? Good on them!"

Well, obviously I am cheering for Anna Kaisenhofer (according to the commentators) as well.

Easy to see the Netherlands is the main country in women's cycling, as our co-commentator (a cyclist) just gave us an explanation of how to bring back a lead group: "If you're pulling in the peloton and you go faster than the lead group, you will gain time."

all the eurosport players feeds are without any commentary...the app is so messy that's very difficult to find some events...
 
I never expected to watch our Volleyball NT or our fencing players with no voice at the Olympics...
 
moreover, we have 3 different ways to get the discovery streams and all 3 have different outcome...just unbelievable!

no, you have to choose the Eurosport1 channel stream to have commentary (and get the lower picture quality and all the ads)...

by the way, I never experienced such a disaster of tv coverage in almost 40 years of Olympics as a spectator (in front of my TV)...

Most Eurosport streams have ambient sound only at the moment. Annoyingly, the TV streams can't be paused/rewinded.

If having two flagbearers means gender equality why USA don't have two presidents ? male and female ? and why Mr Thomas Bach doesn't give half his power to a female IOC president ? hmm ?
 
to me gender equality means people get credit for their quality and their achievements, not because of their gender. as simple as that.
 
beside those pictograms segment which was fantastic, to me another good thing about the ceremony was limiting delegations to just 6 officials. I really hope they continue doing that or even makes it 0. I enjoy to see the athletes, not the coaches or officials.

I’d limit the count to the Chief officer for each country.
Parade focus should be athletes, period.
