I think the target is 4, but the expectation is that more than 4 is possible. Did anyone notice any weird stuff on the team selection for the women's sprint. Bingham, is relay only. George is 100mH and relay? This doesn't quite make sense to me...

Do you think Athletics Canada will be trying to send as many 3rd athletes as possible? didn't know that about Cliff's race. Wikipedia and starting list showed she had met the standard.

Is it top 2 guaranteed as long as they hit the standard? Does Rachel Cliff have a shot as well given she reached the Olympic Standard? Or has Canada agreed to only send 2 people per event?

I full on expect to be using my second monitor on my desktop for the two weeks. Its a busy time at my work so I can only take a handful of flex days off during the games.

From the sounds of it Jamaica allows for a medical exemption so he will go to the Olympics.

Do you know where one can access the potential reallocation lists in other disciplines?

So the virtual medal table got updated and it knocked Canada down further to 15 medals. I can't remember which ones got dropped. I may be a tad optimistic here but I think that is on the low end. I think we may see more success in Swimming and Athletics than we have in the past, whether or not that leads to more medals though remains to be determined. I also think its highly unlikely that Canada takes gold in the women's Team Pursuit, which we are predicted to.

I'm happy that Canada made it in, but this is one sport I really don't understand the qualification and how some competitors can fluctuate their performance so much.

So what's the tiebreak if Canada and Chile tie?

I don't totally understand how the nation qualifications work. If you qualify in a certain placement do you get a qualifications in all disciplines?

Can someone do a quick recap on how qualification for this works. I've tried to follow along, but I just don't get it.

I've been such a bucket of nerves now lol. But its possible!

Best case scenario is that Canada scores 3 points against China and Poland scores 3 points against Australia.

Canada's result is also impacted by the Australia vs. Poland game and if Poland even tries.

If two teams are tied with the same amount of points what determines the ranking?

Maybe I'm just optimistic but I think that last spot will be between China and Canada
