  1. Lithuanian biathlon and missed opportunities. Name a more iconic duo
  2. Thanks dude, the dreaded heat is this Saturday
  3. If anyone is interested, my song just dropped today
  4. I don't think I did a good enough job to actually bid for hosting rights I'll host the contest though if Lithuania wins again, if that were to ever happen.
  5. Filmed my show today, I think I actually did a pretty good job
  6. Today marks the halfway mark of the season and I thought it would be interesting to look at athletes that have managed to get themselves into points in every single race of the season. Also, I'll be adding honourable mentions to athletes that scored, but didn't get into mass starts if there are any, so let's go. Men's list: Johannes Thingnes Boe Sturla Holm Laegreid Tarjei Boe Johannes Dale Sebastian Samuelsson Emilien Jacquelin Jakov Fak Benedikt Doll Benjamin Weger Matvey Eliseev Alexander Loginov (missed 1 mass start) Women's list: Marte Olsbu Roeiseland Hanna Oeberg Dorothea Wierer Franziska Preuss Elvira Oeberg Dzinara Alimbekava Marketa Davidova Anais Chevalier-Bouchet Denise Herrmann Linn Persson Karoline Offigstad Knotten Dunja Zdouc
  7. many declined until Pidruchniy qualified as a top 25 athlete
  8. Technically, it's a quarterfinal for Lithuania.
  9. Good news guys, both of the songs that I wrote have survived the first show. Now it's up to me to carry the torch
  10. Can't express how annoyed I was with that entire situation. Perhaps even more annoyed than the fact that we have no one capable of anything apart from the A team.
  11. Vishnevskaya appears for the first time this season, I was wondering where had she gone.
  12. Pretty decent performance from team Lithuania, but not without blunders. Karol Dombrovski lost everything in the standing shooting Vytautas Strolia lost everything in the prone Tomas Kaukėnas undid his early good work with the penalty Maksim Fomin, I'm glad that he's here, he ran a very respectable relay, knowing his situation. 17th place is good enough, especially for the Olympic qualification.
  13. I don't know where all this trust in Hinz is coming from when three of Maren's performances this season were better than anything she did the entire season.
  14. I don't know, I feel like I'd still run with Maren over Hinz. She just feels a bit more stable and reliable at this point in time.
  15. It's hard to say, but I always struggle to bet for France in the relays, because someone usually has a meltdown. Simon and Braisaz are also pretty unpredictable shooters, even if fast, they can have good days, but they also have really really bad days. Since Hettich and Hammerschmidt are shooting very well, Preuss is pretty good and Herrmann is regaining some of her form, perhaps I'd lean towards them? Sweden is not having too good of a time in Oberhof, so it's tough to say if they can challenge for the 1st spot. Belarus and Austria could do something on a good day.
  16. I think the fact that you had 6 athletes start in the ibu cup and have two athletes running in World Cup is already a pretty decent sign that Croatia is trying to step up their game. Sure, the infrastructure is better elsewhere, but you have to start somewhere and if there will be more athletes flooding into the Croatian team, I'm sure you can pick yourselves up from this slump and become stronger players in the biathlon field.
  17. This really makes me think that despite all of the covid issues, this season is very prone to injuries. Skottheim, Tandrevold, Szczurek come up right now, but I feel like I forgot someone.
  18. Perhaps being a bit slower is her key to shooting better and she's trying to mix things up? It's her best effort this season, if I remember correctly.
  19. Lithuania was so unhappy with the recent performances of Linas Banys, that they're actually bringing in Fomin from Arber to replace him at least in the relay
  20. Kozica ran a good sprint though, her final placement was better than everything that Lithuania tried to do today in both the women and men races Also, it's very interesting how the 15 yo with the worst shooting was actually the best Croat.
  21. I don't know where I went wrong, but even with all 10 of my athletes in the top 20 in both sprints, I got absolutely blasted in the score.
  22. She really likes Oberhof, I wouldn't be surprised if this is her PB for the rest of the season, which is why I'm slightly disappointed she was not able to hold onto points.
