  1. Pidruchniy Rastorgujevs Leitner Windisch Femling to be exact followed by Sima Strolia Mukhin Seppala Lemmerer close, but no cigar (petition to use close, but no Cisar in biathlon threads)
  2. COUNT THE VOTE Honestly, if last week Oberhof would count, Vytautas would be in perhaps I don't know if my calculations are correct, but I think the mass start qualifiers end in Femling, with Sima and Strolia being the first two overboard.
  3. Isn't that the story of his entire career? Somewhat of a Lars Berger
  4. Agh, so unfortunate ://// Vytautas Strolia missed the mass start by some 1 or 2 athletes
  5. what the absolute fuck? probably every country gaining additional quotas due to junior cup's cancellation? I know that we can start with 6 men, I think.
  6. Ooh, there's a Croatian men's relay in the provisional start list @dcro
  7. This could have really huge Olympic selection implications though. Of course, there's still half a year next season, but it's still a gamble.
  8. 2019/20 Rupholding, men's relay 14th place with 0+6 Karol Dombrovski 0+0 0+1 Vytautas Strolia 0+0 0+0 Linas Banys 0+3 0+0 Tomas Kaukėnas 0+1 0+1 I think it's safe to say that even if I look more, there won't be anything better
  9. Should look into the best men's relay performance and the mixed relay PB just to be sure.
  10. I think 15th place and no penalty loops for Lithuania is most definitely a PB performance It's also crazy how Natalija Kočergina is always better in the second race of the day than the first one
  11. Is this some sort of a new competition that's like Tour De Ski?
  12. I just noticed that with Lisa Theresa Hauser's double, I was actually right I remembered this thing only when I thought that this could be the first Russian podium today.
  13. Lithuania will make themselves beatable too. We're godawful in single-mixed and we're sending Tomas, who has somewhat of an 60% hitrate this season.
  14. I'm back home. And yes, the curse continues, it's neverending but hey, 20th place for Vytautas Strolia and Karol Dombrovski in 32nd twice this weekend, this is really awesome. One thing that's a bit sad is that Tomas looked really good in the Lithuanian Championships, but just as I thought, when it comes to World Cup, he's just not in a good mental headspace. Natalija looked pretty decent, a pursuit with two misses is not something you see often from her as for Gabrielė, well, this is definitely not her track.
  15. Honestly, I've been eagerly waiting for this break to be over with, but I'm devastated that I've got work out of town for both tomorrow and Saturday. It's really not a good feeling to be rewarded only with a single and mixed relay on a Sunday.
  16. [hide] Nation Captains SWEDEN Hanna Oeberg SWEDEN Sebastian Samuelsson Nation Women NORWAY Marte Olsbu Roeiseland GERMANY Maren Hammerschmidt AUSTRIA Lisa Theresa Hauser BELARUS Dzinara Alimbekava Nation Men ITALY Lukas Hofer FRANCE Emilien Jacquelin SLOVENIA Jakov Fak NORWAY Tarjei Boe [/hide]
  17. Probably because Lithuania is in self-destruct mode due to Covid and nobody sees this competition with any importance since there would be like 5 athletes anyways.
  18. These are the same Lithuanian Championships that I posted about, it's so messy, but Baltics always have them together, but call them differently. They could just call it Baltic Championships then, but no I just don't really get it why it's written that Raenkel was on top in the sprint when he was not even in top 10. Perhaps they didn't want to write that Lithuanians took the first three places and the best performing Estonians were not even popular names with Siimer and Heldna.
  19. Giedrius Titenis 100m Breaststroke qualifying time was approved by FINA, it is the 4th consecutive Olympics for Giedrius, he joins Andrius Šidlauskas and Danas Rapšys as the other two swimmers that have A Olympic standards.
  20. Well, barring a surprise illness, I'm somewhat ready to film in 15 days as I have a document that lets me travel despite the restrictions.
  21. Usually every Lithuanian Championships run a sprint and a mass start, it's very very rare to do a pursuit since the margins after sprint are nearly irreversible, which makes the race useless and rarely do we run an individual, because it's a longer distance and there's not that many participants. As for first time mass-start biathletes, they usually end up in those 20-30 positions, because even if they shoot clear, they fall back down the order during the 2.5km / 2km laps. Nadine Horchler's win was one of the biggest biathlon surprises in recent years.
  22. Mass start results are in: Women's mass start: 1. Tuuli Tomingas 0+0+0+1 2. Regina Oja 2+0+0+0 +45.7 3. Susan Kulm 0+1+0+2 +1:40.8 4. Kadri Lethla 1+2+1+0 +1:52.0 5. Natalija Kočergina 2+0+1+1 +2:11.3 6. Gabrielė Leščinskaitė 1+0+0+1 +2:37.3 7. Johanna Taliharm 2+2+0+2 +2:57.7 8. Grete Gaim 1+1+2+1 +3:04.0 9. Lisbeth Liiv 2+1+1+0 +3:07.8 10. Demi Heinsoo 2+1+1+0 +4:21.3 Men's mass start: 1. Rene Zahkna 0+0+3+0 2. Karol Dombrovski 0+0+3+0 +7.1 3. Tomas Kaukėnas 0+0+2+1 +8.4 4. Kristo Siimer 0+2+1+1 +12.4 5. Mart Všivtsev 0+0+1+0 +14.7 6. Robert Heldna 1+1+0+0 +51.8 7. Vytautas Strolia 3+3+0+0 +1:07.7 8. Linas Banys 2+0+1+1 +1:45.4 9. Maksim Fomin 2+0+2+1 +1:57.8 10. Kalev Ermits 2+2+2+3 +2:22.1 Even a worse day for the Latvians, since they didn't get anyone in the top 10. Besides Rastorgujevs and Bendika all of their A, B teams are present in this competition.
